Olamidun Majekodunmi has delivered a topmost educational facility to residents of Lagos State through her registered company, Performing Arts School. Lagos can now boast of its very own school of performing arts! A meeting place for those passionate about developing artistic talents. Performance art skills are highly valued all over the world- a language that unifies us all. No matter where you go you will find people with cultural talents varying from dance to theatre to music.

These are quite common in Nigeria but finding an institution for performing arts is like finding a needle in a haystack. Lack of interest or lack of initiative?

Neither excuse could hold back founder and CEO, Olamidun Majekodunmi, a young female entrepreneur with a passionate vision. While schooling in the United States, Olamidun Majekodunmi found her passion for performing arts and gained lots of experience working with children. She mastered modern dance and the likes for over six years and was specially trained to teach. This inspired Olamidun Majekodunmi to open PAS Nigeria so other Nigerians may have the same opportunities she had. PAS offers classes for both children and adults.

“This is only the beginning for us,” Olamidun Majekodunmi says. “Our goal is to develop a full capacity academy for specialized training in the arts and open more creative center hubs around the country.”

The Performing Arts School with its unique Creative Center is surely an innovative, one-of-a-kind institution that breathes more life to Nigeria’s arts and culture sector.
