Liverpool duo Sadio Mane and Mohamad Salah are part of the Nominees announced for the 2018 BBC African Football Of The Year Award.

Salah won the award in 2017 and is favourite to retain it after scoring 42 goals last season.

Liverpool forward Sadio Mane is also among the nominees after he finished last season as the the joint-second top scorer in the Champions League with 10 goals for Liverpool.

He also played all of Senegal's World Cup games and scored against Japan.

However, Arsenal's African duo Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alex Iwobi miss out.

2. Kalidou Koulibaly (Napoli & Senegal)

3. Sadio Mane (Liverpool & Senegal)

4. Mohamad Salah (Liverpool & Egypt)

5. Thomas Partey (Atletico Madrid & Ghana)

The vote closes on Sunday, 2 December at 20:00 GMT.

And the result will be revealed in a programme on BBC World News on December 14.
