Election 2019: Uk PDP Members Task Inec To Conduct Free & Fair Election by KENTEESMEDIA: 2:16pm On Nov 18, 2018
The people’s democratic party members in the united kingdom is making it a point of duty as campaign activities kicks off across Nigeria to call on every
agent of state saddled with the task of conducting the 2019 general elections to be alive to their responsibilities in order to ensure a level playing field for every one irrespective of party affiliation as we are confident that our party has the support of the people and will get back the mandate to put Nigeria on the path to recovery.

We have observed with dismay the comments of the INEC asking people to go to court if they are not satisfied with the way things are regarding the ongoing
certificate saga of the sitting president. At the same time the PDP Osun state governorship candidate and governor in waiting Senator Adeleke is being
dragged to court for similar certification and result issues. Many people in the APC who have forged certificates in the current government are all walking
around free without harassment or any kind of molestation. It beggars belief that President Buhari who has contested elections at least
three times and has been a president for three years is still swearing affidavits as to the whereabouts and genuineness of his certificates and has suddenly
gotten the enlightenment to apply for an attestation of result from WAEC.
It is a big disappointment to see the Nigerian office of the WAEC board involving itself in local politics. What is the relevance of senior members of he board going to present this certificate ceremoniously to the president and what is the Nigerian constitution’s position regarding minimum academic qualifications
before running for any office in Nigeria and the presentation of documentary evidence to confirm same? The INEC needs to show that it is ready to conduct a free and transparent election in 2019 by either showing proof of the academic qualifications of the President according to the dictates of our
constitution and electoral act or disqualify him from contesting this election.

The current trend of using the organs of state to hound the opposition parties and other critics as we have seen in the harassment of our presidential
candidate upon his return from a well-deserved holiday is a major concern and is a major pointer to the plots of the ruling party to subvert the will of the people come 2019 using fear and intimidation tactics, therefore we are calling on the international communities to mount genuine pressure, diplomatic or
otherwise on the electoral authorities to prevent every and any plot to rig the 2019 general elections by the APC across all tiers of government. Governor
Adams Oshiomohle of Edo state finished his term and was sent to Abuja like a hero and for two years he walked a free man and recently became the National chairman of APC which is becoming a safe haven for corrupt politicians. EFCC refused to investigate allegations of corruption and abuse of
public office levelled against him even after courts orders, till quite recently did it come to our attention that the DSS is reported to have arrested him for
interrogation which was only motivated by internal power play within the ruling party. However, Governor Fayose of Ekiti was detained immediately
after leaving office for two weeks before being charged to court.

WE are proud of our Presidential ticket. We are rest assured that the experience base of our Presidential candidate His Excellency Atiku Abubakar
and the vice presidential candidate His Excellency Peter Obi is enough to dig us out of the economic doldrums that the APC has pushed us into and bring us
back into the thriving economic powerhouse we deserve. No amount of mudslinging or intimidation by the ruling party can sway the desire of the Nigerian people for a change of government to end the hunger and suffering in the land. No more excuses, no pointing of fingers to justify failure and no
taking of credits for projects belonging to previous PDP government.

WE commiserate with the PDP family over the loss of a colossus in the person of Chief Tony Aneni. He will be greatly missed by the nation in general and by the PDP in particular. Also, our prayers goes those peaceful Shiite protesters being brutalised and killed regularly by this government in Abuja and we are calling on the President to release their leader or expedite the court process which is the only authentic means of determining the innocence or guilt of any and every Nigerian and we categorically state here that the constitution of the Federal republic of Nigeria which promotes and upholds our individual and
collective human rights supersedes any perceived national security issues.

PDP UK salutes the vocal dexterity of our National leadership at Wadata Plaza and urges a continued exposition of any and all ruse by the APC to hush the
voice of the opposition and subvert the will of the people. We urge every party
man and woman and every meaning Nigeria at home and diaspora to come out and engage the people on the need to come out and vote out a government that has shown a serious lack of will nor ability to move the Nigerian state

forward.
