prince3009:Nice detail. What's the difference between li-ion and li-po? |
Re: 5 Things We Do That Destroy Our Smartphones by Nobody: 6:29pm On Nov 19, 2018 |
hausadreturn: The electrolyte Li-ion uses liquid electrolyte while Li-po uses polymer which is rather solid. |

hausadreturn: it depends on the scenario. Since polymer is solid, it requires bigger space unlike Li-ion which uses very little space and quantity. That's why phone manufacturers make use of the former because it allows the use of slimmer batteries. Although polymer is stronger and will last far more than it's ion counterpart, using it on a phone will require the phone to be bigger in mass. Eg: if a Samsung S7 were to use a polymer battery with the same amps as a Li-ion battery, then the phone will have to be as big as a 75g Cornflakes box which will be awkward.
