The most institution is not adequately equipped when it comes to their laboratory or workshop. Get an institution that has the necessary facilities for learning.

The attitude of the Office Staff
The first thing that comes to your mind admire when you want to apply to any institution is their office staff. Their actions pass a message for the rest of the school. If the front office is inviting for lecturers, parents, and students, it then means that the institution’s leadership values customer service. In other words, if the office staffs are harsh or rude, you must question if the institution as a whole including its administration has the nice attitude toward their students, parents, and lecturers. Be attentive of schools where their staff is not attainable. Look for an institution where office staffs are friendly, efficient and ready to help.

The attitude of the vice chancellor or rector
You may likewise have the chance of meeting with the vice chancellor before considering applying at the institution. His attitude is very important for you and the institution as a whole. A good vice-chancellor should be open, reassuring and innovative. He should be student-centered in any of his decisions. The vice-chancellor should also enable teachers while providing them with the necessary support and training in the development of their students. Principals who are never encouraging or who are not open to innovation will be difficult to satisfy the taste of the students and the lecturers, resulting in annoyed or irritated staffs and lecturers, including you if you apply to such institution.

Good lecturers
Good lecturers come into a school and are stirred up to teach and innovate. Most of these lecturers feel that they can make a big difference. In other words, they often have a lot to learn about lecturing management and the work outlined in the institution school system. By comparison, senior lecturers provide years of experience and understanding on how to manage their lecture rooms and get things done in the school, but they may be wary of innovation. A mix of senior and new lecturers can, therefore, motivate you to learn and help you grow as a student.

Student-Centered
For an institution to have good qualities, the admin must create a system of essential values that the entire staff shares. In other to get this done, the teachers and staffs need to be involved. The main theme to each of the core values should be a student-centered view of education. When a decision is made in the school, the first thought should always be: “What’s best for the students of this institution?” When everyone shares this interest, infighting or most strike actions will lessen and the school can focus on the business of imparting knowledge to its students.

Mentoring Program
The most institution provides new lecturers with a mentor or a senior lecturer during their first year. Some have formal mentoring programs while others offer new lecturers more informal guardianship. In other words, each institution should provide new lectures with a mentor whether the incoming educator is fresh out of college or coming from a different institution. Mentors can help newly appointed lecturers understand the culture of the institution and operate its administration in areas such as field trip procedures and purchasing lecturing or laboratory tools.

Departmental Politics should be to Minimal
Almost every department in an institution will have its share of politics or rules. For example, a marketing department might have a lecturer who want more power or who try and get a larger share of the department’s reserves. Apparently, there would be a seniority system in place for picking courses for the following year or deciding who gets to go to a particular conference. In other words, a quality institution will not allow this conduct to weaken the main goal of teaching students. The head of departments should be concise on its goals for each department and work with the head of each department to employ a cooperating environment where politics are kept adequately.

Faculty Is Empowered and Involved
When the school faculty is authorized to make decisions approved by the administration, a certain level of trust widens and allows for a greater change and a more effective teaching. A lecturer who feels authorized and involved in the decision-making process will not only have an outstanding job satisfaction but will also be better able to accept decisions with which he might disagree. This, also, should start with the vice chancellor, head of admin and shared core values that have to do with determining what’s best for the students of that institution. An institution where lecturer’s opinions are not taken and where they feel disregard will result in the weakness of lecturers who has no desire to put as much into their lecturing job.

Teamwork
In the most known institution, there will be lecturers who wouldn’t like to share with others. They will be the ones who they will be the ones who don’t want to go for any meeting or relate with other lecturers and most times those lecturers can be strict on students and wouldn’t mind if the student is excelling in their academics or not. If the majority of the lectures at the school do this, stay clear. Look for a quality institution that strives on the creation of an atmosphere where lecturers want to share with each other. This should be something the school and department leadership will try to put into shape. Communication Is candid and should be Frequent

The school leadership in a quality institution provides teachers, staff, students, and parents with a good communication network of what is happening in the institution. Rumors and gossip are usually excessive in schools where administrators do not always communicate the reasons for decisions or other changes

Parental Involvement
Most low and high institution doesn’t stress parental involvement; they should call up to parents when necessary or needed. It is the school’s job to call on parents and help them understand what they can do. When a school involves parents, there is always a chance for students to behave and perform. Most parents would want to know what’s going on in lecture rooms but have no way of figuring out how to go about this. A school that involves parental contact for both positive and negative reasons will grow more productive over time.
