The battle line is drawn as the APC led Government of Edo state Governor Godwin Obaseki is trying to install a new chairman against the wish of the council members.
This came up when the commissioner of youth in Edo state said publicly that the youth of Edo state can't change the mind of the Governor, that the Governor sent him to tell the youth of the council that is who ever they want will be installed, that the council have no voice to change it.
Dailynews gather that a management meeting was held yesterday when all the stake holders said the Congress should be prosponed because of the Muslim Holiday and that Another date will be communicated and the management also mandated the outgoing chairman to do a press release which was done immediately. After the meeting the information was passed across to the 18 local government council and all the Vyos.
The commissioner later came up to say that if none of the Vyos and Nycn members of various local government will not come,he said a circular should be pass to the 18 local government APC chairman to send 5 loyal APC members to come and vote during the election.
The Nycn is made up of the Vyos and Local government chapters
And its only on management level decision is taking.
When speaking to one of the exco who pleaded anonymous said Edo youth will resist the state government of imposing anybody on them,and that the council is not an arm of the APC Government an so no other government force should come up and give them leaders de don't like. Also the exco said he suspect that the commissioner is only acting on instructions from another quarter not from the Governor, and he believes the Governor who he know stand for justice and fairness and he call on the Governor to quickly speak up and give direction to the commissioner to stop this rubbish that is doing to avoid total loss in the coming general election.he believe the youth of Edo may changed their mind against the ruling party if the Governor allow this rubbish to continue.
He also advice the Governor on the need to quickly search for a replacement for the commissioner because the commissioner is not representing him and his Government well.
