A randy lecturer at Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, Edo State, who allegedly specialises in threatening female students with “Carry-Over”, was yesterday given the beating of his life by irate students.
The lecturer was publicly humiliated by students in one of his victim’s residence by students who were said to have stripped him unclothed and recorded him on video camera as they rained abuses and insults on him.

The randy lecturer, in his late 50s, was held hostage for several hours at the one-room apartment of the female student, a 400 level electrical/electronics student.
Clips of the video are presently circulating in the university town and its environs, as almost every student with sophisticated phones have the clip, while some others have it in their laptops.
It is rumoured that the video clips are already on Face Book.

Sunday Vanguard learnt that the lecturer in the video clips was seen obeying the commands of the students to drop his pants, as well as sign a cheque to secure his freedom.
The students allegedly played with his focal places after signing the cheque of N100, 000 in the victim’s name, while they equally asked him to “settle” them.

After being rescued by his colleagues, it was gathered that the lecturer headed for the police station where it was learnt that he alleged that the students kidnapped him.
The police were said to have stormed the residence of the victim to arrest every available student in the house.

Unconfirmed sources said the students were later released on the intervention of the university authorities.
The female students as well as the lecturer were not available for comments, as they were said to have left town.
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Ekpoma was also not on sit to confirm the incident.

I have seen the clip on facebook, what a shameful act but the lecturer actions were very folish in such situations but i know he is going to fight back. I really pity that female student because she will not find it easy among the lecturers anymore in the school.

This incident no matter what people believe has sent a clear and stern message to all lecturers who demand sex from ladies in exchange for exam success.

I guess we should turn to the law makers enact laws that protect vulnerable females. But eh, we have many of their kinds in the legislature/government. Even a paedophile senator.

Those students should spend some days with the police for blackmail IMO. They already had the proof they needed to nail the lecturer without resorting to compelling him to sign them a cheque. Now he can easily claim he was set up and was at the location for a different reason. I guess it didn't occur to them that he could easily block the cheque the moment he stepped out of the lady's room. Just shows the quality of students we have these days. Yeh.The video was sent to my FB last week.It was so embarrassing.The lecturer must have had his cup full.Good riddance to bad rubbish.I hope he turns a new leaf and warns his fellow cohorts.

Those students are really stupid. They stretched this humiliation adventure into extortion and black mail. They cannot parade this video as evidence for anything. Unless the clip is longer than what we've seen, the lecture admits to nothing on camera and looks more like someone who was kidnapped and entrapped under duress to sign a check.


Very stupid University students for that matter. This in no meaningful way will help in solving the problems concerning Lectures seeking sexual favours for grades.

These students are very foolish for what they have done and they will surely pay for it, you don't take laws into your hands, blackmailing and trying to extort money from a lecturer. The lecturer's cup might have been full but the students lack foresight in trying to punish him.

The truth of the matter is that if this was in a developed country, this man would make this lady and her accomplices pay dearly for this "humiliation." Now before y'all eat my head up, I am NOT in anyway condoning what the man is ALLEGED to have done, I am only trying to do an analysis of the "evidence" as it should be done if presented to a law enforcement person. All the lady (victim) made was a mere allegation that needs to be proven BEYOND REASONABLE DOUBT.

Now if you ask me, all I can see in the video is a man who has been forced into a humiliating submission under duress and threats of physical abuse. There is absolutely nothing on the video to support the real victim's claim of sexual harassment because rather than get him to speak about the issue, all the guys (and even the lady at a point) were interested in was getting him to sign them a cheque while threatening him with dire physical and psychological ("I go slap you now!!" "I go call ur wife now!!"  "We go spread this video for campus if you no sign am!!" etc )consequences if he doesn't.

Last I heard, the professor had reported the case to the police claiming that he was tricked into a trap, held against his will, assaulted and extorted by the students. He's got a case if you ask me

Yes oo my brother, we just believe too much in jungle justice or trying to exploit all kinds of situations instead of doing the right thing. A simple video evidence with all the right actions  that will nail the lecturer was turned into a situation where the students has taken the laws into their hands. Just like @reptyle has stated, i really see the man winning this case if he has a very good lawyer.

I still repeat it, i am so sorry for that girl in particular because her name, picture and information is out now in the open and she is the prime target for a revenge from the other party. If it was well planned they would have  masked the face of the girl in that video and called her a different name. We are always in a hurry to do things and in the process lack adequate planning for our subsequent actions.

If the man is really guilty then he should face the music. This is really sad and it shows the rot in our educational system; thats why our certificates are hardly recognised and accepted elsewhere yet most of us give it our best shots. From Lecturers demanding for s*x from female students to the same lecturers demanding for money and other gifts from male students (i shud know i was a victim). This are all the products of a corrupt and inept system. Imagine the shame, one faces when a graduate (or so he claims) cant even construct a simple sentence.

These students are a bunch of criminals to me. This man appears to have been kidnapped and framed up, I think we all need to view this video clip objectively. The man was simply being setup.

Did you guys see how Dull that girl/woman sounded. She surely would have not been able to pass with her brains. That video was a shameful display of ignorance of the highest level.

reading the write-up, which i must say is hilarious, i think the students engaged themselves in extortion (either knowingly or unknowingly) and if the lecturer wants he can push for kidnapping
