Just like the deregulation of the telecommunication industry which birth the likes of MTN, GLO, ECONET etc. Today those companies can boost of 3million direct and indirect jobs, did Nitel employ up to that?

NNPC will be privatized as govt has no business doing business, that was exactly what Kachukwu wanted to do when he took over as MD but because of the interest Buhari had on the oil industry he sacked him and brought his brother that will do his bid

Atiku will sign the PIB into law, the bill has been lying idle on the table of mr president since

Unbundling and Privatisation of NNPC is one of the recommendations from Rilwayne Lukman committee, former oil minister, former NNPC MD, former OPEC sec general, may his soul rest in peace

Only worthless and uninformed touts pretending to be learned will find flaws in an upstream sector underperforming for years. I am with Atiku on this one.

The truth is, we missed the opportunity in 2007 when controlling equity of PH refinery was sold to the Blue Star Consortium of Dangote and Femi Otedola. Late President Yaradua was ill-advised to reverse it by the Northern elements cabals within NNPC most of them top flight civil servants. The GMD at the time boasted he will get to 100% optimum operations within six months. This is 12 years! Yar'Adua did reverse it and it has continued to be a drain on the Nation's scarce resources till date. Now you see our government officials taking excursion trips to the Dangote refinery in Lekki Lagos while being clueless about the National assets in Warri and Portharcourt.

The refineries capacity utilization for July was 4.83% and August 3.02%. In August the refineries operational deficit was N10.45bn. Is this what we call national asset?

Thank you Ratello

None of the refineries are working at this moment, govt and the citizen are not benefitting from it, everybody is looking towards dangote refinery, a private sector driven refinery

I don't know who will retain his loss making private business?. If you can not do it to your personal business, why should we keep NNPC?.

Of what benefit is the NNPC been to us, if not a means thriugh which the political class loot our Commonwealth. It should be sold with the Fed. Govt. retaining minimal percentage of ownership.
