How the Nigerian Police Force is aiding illegality and criminality in Lugbe community

I wish to draw the attention of all well meaning Nigerians as well as men and women of conscience to the brazen illegality and criminality perpetrated by some police officers deployed to the River Park Estate located in Lugbe, along the airport road in Abuja.

It is indeed a sad commentary that the very security men recruited and paid with taxpayers money to maintain law and order are the same characters used by some moneybags to harass, intimidate, molest and oppress ordinary Nigerians.

As you read through these lines, innocent Nigerians living within the CRD Community in Lugbe have been forced pack out of their homes following an early morning invasion of their neighbourhood by policemen, thugs and touts led by the owner of River Park Estate, one Paul Odili, also known as Pauloo. We watched helplessly how Pauloo and his band of thugs attacked and beat up whoever dared to challenge their action. Even children weren't spared in their wicked act.

He moves and goes about his nefarious activities in company of masked police men and thugs. We gathered on good authority that he has the support and cooperation of the FCT Commissioner of Police who ensures that police officers are always on ground each time he wants to carryout any of his illegal operations.

There is hardly any part of Lugbe community that this satanic human being hasn't engaged in one form of fight or the other. He is notorious for grabbing people's plots only to sell them out at exorbitant amounts. He does this with impunity knowing that he has the backing of the police who are at his beck and call. Pauloo has pending land disputes in virtually all courts in Abuja. This is how terrible the character is.

Only this afternoon, he operates when house owners are away from homes, he rolled in bulldozers to pull down structures he claimed were erected on his land. He did this without any approval from land issuing authorities within the FCT. Attempts to stop him and his men from demolishing houses were fiercely resisted by the policemen he came with. They began to shoot into the air to scare away people.

The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris needs to rise up and act fast before this issue degenerates. His men are being used by the owner of River Park Estate to terrorise, intimidate and cow people into silence. This is one issue that we expect the police authorities not to treat with kid gloves. Innocent Nigerians have been displaced from their homes.

It is indeed sad to realize that one man has pocketed the leadership of the police force in the FCT. We expect the IGP to immediately set up a panel to investigate the involvement of his operatives in the madness going on in CRD Lugbe. Is it that the police can no longer protect the right of ordinary and law abiding Nigerians? A stitch in time saves nine.

Thank u for bringing this up. It unfortunate that Nigerian police has descended to lowest point of shame. It time to bring down this criminal, disgusting character called Paul Odilli nd whoever is giving in cover to carry out is nefarious act. This is d time.

Even FCDA and AGIS are mute about the whole matter, the former director of Development control Hamza are all involved in this big mess of distorting and compromising with River Park Estate and The layout of Lugbe.
