The suspension order placed on 15 members of the Ondo
State House of Assembly has been lifted.

The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Oleyelogun Bamidele David announced
the lifting of the suspension at the plenary sitting of Thursday
22nd November, 2018.

Mr Speaker hinged the lifting of the suspension order on the
intervention of notable people within the state and beyond.

The lifting of the suspension had earlier been discussed at the
parliamentary meeting of the Honourable members.

According to Rt.Hon. Oleyelogun, “following the intervention of
notable leaders in the current crisis rocking the House of
Assembly, the House as part of the crisis resolution option
resolved to lift the suspension order placed on the 15
Honourable members of the House “.

They are : Hons.Tuyi Akintimehin, Sola Ebiwonjumi, Akinyele
Fasogbon, Adeniji Adeniyi, Jumoke Akindele, Olusegun
Ajimatokin, Olamide George and Fatai Olotu. Others are
Ifedayo Akinsoyinu, Ayodeji Arowele, Malachi Coker, Abimbola
Fajolu, Joseph Araoyinbo, Mukaila Musa and Obadiah Vincent.
The sitting Speaker And Deputy, Rt. Hon.Bamidele Oleyelogun

and Iroju Ogundeji were earlier sacked by eighteen of the
twenty-six members of the house.

Two members Hon. Olajide Sunday and Sola Oluyede however
claimed that their signatures were forged.

The crisis that followed culminated in the suspension of the
aggrieved members.

Following the intervention of notable leaders however, the
suspension order placed on the Honourable members has
been lifted.

The Rt Hon. Speaker Oleyelogun issued a directive that all their
entitlements and benefits be released to them.

While moving a motion for adjournment of plenary, Hon. Jamiu
Maito thanked the notable leaders for their timely intervention
and pleaded with the estranged members to join hands in
order to enhance delivery of democracy dividends to the
people.
