NASU LOCKS UNIOSUN GRADUATING STUDENTS, PARENTS OUT DURING CONVOCATION

Some protesting members of the Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU), Osun State University chapter, on Wednesday locked many graduating students and their parents out of the main campus in Osogbo, where convocation ceremony for the 2017 set is currently going on.

NECO EXTENDS REGISTRATION DATE FOR 2018 SSCE
The National Examination Council, NECO has announced an extension for the registration of the ongoing 2018 November/December NECO Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE).

Mr. Abubakar Gana, the Acting Registrar of the examination board disclosed this in a statement in Abuja on Tuesday, November 20, 2018.

According to him, applicants willing to write the on-going exam could still register as walk-in candidates.

Kidnapped Lecturer of Federal College of Education Anambra Regains Freedom

A lecturer at the Federal College of Education (Technical), Umunze, Anambra State, identified as Mrs Okwuchi kidnapped by unknown gunmen has regained her freedom.

The victim, lecturing at the Agricultural Department of the institution was reportedly kidnapped on Saturday at the market square where she came to make some purchases.

According to reports, the gunmen accosted her and shot in the air, causing traders in the market to scamper for safety while she was taken away.

FIRE OUTBREAK DESTROYS OKO POLY’S EXAM AND RECORD BUILDING
The exams and records building of the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Anambra State has been burnt down by fire, destroying vital records and documents of the institution.

The fire outbreak was said to have happened at about 1 am on Tuesday, November 20, 2018.

The fire which was noticed by students was believed to have been deliberately started by some students over the recent decision of the school management to abolish the Computer Based Test (CBT) and revert to Pen on Paper Test (PPT) for exams which just started.
