Ask yourself about your favorite game, and chances are that it definitely involves shooting something. Shooting games have been so integral in the gaming world that they have crossed the genres they were originally synonymous with. While action games at site Manti Games still overwhelmingly consist of shooting games, they can also be found under puzzles, strategy and multiplayer games.

So, the question obviously comes up: What makes shooting games so common? And are they good for children at all? Let's find out why we should choose free online games pc play now!

Why Shooting Games Are Popular?

The simple reason behind shooting games' popularity could be attributed to how instinctive it is. But that isn't a very enlightening answer, so let's dig deeper. There are multiple reasons why shooting games are popular:

Shooting games depict something common and real. From everyday shootings to world war, nothing is possible without shooting. Both real news and fictional movies depict shooting as an integral element. And shooting games just take that something real hypes it up many times over and incorporate them in the games.

Shooting games are amazing stress-busters. To spray bullets at lifeless virtual objects and destroying them feels incredibly relaxing. It might seem to promote violence and sadism, but in reality, it is no different from popping bubble-wrap for stress relief.

Shooting games are also great for gun enthusiasts, especially those who can’t legally own a gun. With the wide variety of arsenal and incredible details, one could get almost the real experience of using a gun. All this, without the actual possession of the firearm.

Are Shooting Games Bad For Children?

Simple answer: No. Of course, they can be bad, but only in the same way that any other online game can be bad for them. For instance, if children play any online game for hours every day, health complications are bound to occur. But there is no proof at all that shooting games specifically can be bad for children.

The myth that shooting games are bad for children probably originated in 1999 after the infamous Columbine shooting, after the main perpetrators were found to be fans of Doom, one of the first First-Person-Shooter games. The myth, circulated among concerned parents, also led to many types of research. At first, it seems an obvious connection: children play violent shooting games, and end up committing violent acts.

However, no study till now has been conclusively able to prove that shooter games can cause violent tendencies. In fact, the studies revealed that it is not even the case the children with already violent tendencies like shooting games more than regular kids; the preference seems completely arbitrary.

Apart from violent tendencies, the other “negative” impacts of shooting games seem to be misguided too. For instance, there is no evidence that shooting games cause children to become sadistic or emotionally detached. Children are well-aware that the objects they are shooting are “not real” and feel no pain. The debate around shooter games also seems to be politically motivated, since the gun control lobby seems to use it an argument in their favor, but so far the argument has only sustained on popular misconception and not on evidence.

Are Shooting Games Good For Children?

Now that we have established that shooting games aren't bad for children, the natural question is: are they good for them? According to new studies, they are. Detractors of shooting games might argue that the negative of these game far outweigh the positives. However, the positives are based on facts while the “negatives” are not backed by any study. Let's take a look at the benefits:

Shooting games are all about precision. While it is fun to mindlessly spray bullets everywhere, precision is what counts in the score. In fact, most shooter games restrict bullets (or anything you are shooting, like arrows), so you cannot afford mistakes. This need for precision and accuracy gets carried in real life. Children learn not to waste resources because they are limited and exhaustible. Of course, this could be learned from many other types of online games free, but shooter games definitely get a point here.

Shooter games promote decision-making. As anyone who has played shooter games knows, shooting games are often part of some really fast-paced games. The targets or enemies can appear anytime and anywhere and you have only moments to shoot at it. Like we mentioned earlier, shooter games require high precision, so missing out it not an option either. The ability to make decisions under such time-constraint pressure is a very useful skill. Fortunately, children who play shooter games develop this skill much earlier than others.

Perhaps the most distinctive positive impact of shooter games is on the spatial skills. Spatial ability is the ability to comprehend and remember the spatial (space) relations between objects. In everyday life, spatial ability is a very essential skill. Children playing shooter games seem to grasp this skill pretty early. These games involve multiple targets and other objects, in a virtual 3D space, and players must remember their spatial relations while progressing in the game. You might have to shoot 2 targets in front of you, but one could be 10 meters in front and other could be 100 meters. When children are able to deduce the spatial relations in a mere game, they are able to easily replicate that in real life.

Lastly, shooter games improve focus. This should not come as a surprise, as you can’t really play shooter games without focus. The targets are complex, sometimes constantly moving and sometimes too small to pinpoint. To be a successful marksman, one has to have great patience and be attentive. Free online games involving sniper rifles are a prime example of this. Overextended period of game-playing, this attention and focus become ingrained as a habit. Thus, shooter games directly contribute to improving attention.

Conclusion:

It is clear that while the negatives of shooting games are nothing more than myths, the positives are fact-based and real. So, it is safe to say that shooting games offer plenty of benefits to the kids and contribute in their overall growth.

Lol, it depends on what you want to use the C++ to deploy, or the IDE you'll use to code it. I don't know your budget, so I'll advice you to just get a system with a high clock speed, nothing less that 2.5, and nothing less than an 8Gig Ram.

Nothing is as sweet as a speedy system. Whether it's C++ or Brainfuck or Python, coding with special IDEs requires a fast system.
