The President of local government department has been charged with mis-appropriation and embezzlement of funds amounting to 565,200.



The President Akinkunmi Sodiq Opeyemi popularly known as Hon SDQ is a part 4 student of the department of local government studies, he was alleged to have embezzled coupled with misappropriation of the association’s funds. And he already admitted to the fact that he truly committed the offence singlehandedly

According to our Source, the President in order to be successful with his fraudulent act made himself the only signatories to the association’s account without involving the financial secretary which was contrary to the constitution of the department.

The president is known to be so cunning to the extent of withdrawing the sum of #107,000 from the association’s account without the approval of the Staff adviser. The president was also known to be a pen stealer changing the sum of #51,000 which was already approved by the Staff adviser to #61,000 before getting to the H.O.D who was meant to be the final signatory.
It was reported that the president was given the sum of #117,000 for souvenir but failed to provide any souvenir till now
The President also collected the sum of #386,200 by hand(CASH) which was meant to be remitted into the association’s account but he failed to do so. As at the time of gathering this report, the president has already confessed at floor O and the university Security that none of the executives was aware of this dubious act.
