One will find all sorts of traffic and pedestrians pouring through Lagos roads on a regular day. Most times, traffic and pedestrians on these roads can be heavy and unruly, making the road a bit tough and dangerous.

So as a pickup/delivery rider, it is extremely important to prepare for your safety before hitting the road.

Here are a few safety tips to help you ride through Lagos safely:

Understand road use
Knowledge of how to use the road is the first thing you must have before getting on the road. Without it, there is a high chance of you colliding with traffic or pedestrians.

Among other road use rules and concepts like speed limit signs, traffic lights and no U-turn signs, you should understand the ‘tire track’ and ‘blocking’ concepts. These concepts help you keep a safe distance from other vehicles, see other vehicles and remain seen, keep to the smoothest road surface and block or discourage other vehicles from squeezing past you in the same lane.
