The Copa Libertadores final between River Plate and Boca Juniors has been postponed again after Boca Juniors players called for the match to be delayed.

On Saturday, Boca Juniors team bus was attacked by River Plate Fans on its way to the stadium.

The match was delayed twice before being called off and rearranged to be played today.

But just three hours before kick-off, South American Football Confederation, CONMEBOL, confirmed the final will not be played today.

CONMEBOL president Alejandro Dominguez said: “The conditions are notequal and therefore we will postpone this final.

"We will meet with the presidents of Boca & River in Asuncion to find a solution, but the game WILL be played.”

Earlier today, Boca issued a statement calling for the postponement of the match.

"Boca Juniors made a formal presentation to Conmebol (the South American football federation) on Sundayto request that the final of the Copa Libertadores be played in conditions of equality," Boca said.

"After the acts of violence suffered in thevicinity of the stadium, having noted the magnitude and seriousness of them and the consequences they have generated in the establishment, Boca considers that these conditions are not met and requests the suspension of the match."
