A web program, also referred to as a web developer, develops, programs and computerizes the database of a company to make it adaptable for internet usage. There is usually a general confusion between web designers and web programmers. The difference is that while a web designer deals with the look and visual aspects of a website, a web programmer deals with the unseen back end functions of the website. To put it in a nutshell, a web programmer is a coder.

Excellent internet applications knowledge combined with the knowledge of website design and development
Good communication skills to interact with the customers and set up long time relationships with them so as to provide maintenance and up gradation services for the website
A keen sense for detail in programming websites
Good organization skills
Ability to work long hours in order to meet deadlines given by the client
Ability to work with a team and make accurate decisions
