Covenant University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) are partnering on a pathway to MicroMasters Degrees in some programmes of both world-class institutions.
While explaining the workings of the programme, the Director, International Office and Linkages at Covenant, Dr. Ada Peter, noted that students of both institutions would have the opportunity to earn a Master Degree in either of the institutions after obtaining a certain level of credits in programmes which include Business Administration, Economics, Mechanical Engineering, and Computer Science.

Dr. Peter explained further that Covenant would offer the credential holders of the MITx MicroMasters in Supply Chain Management (SCM) the possibility of earning 6 credits toward the completion of the Master’s Degree in Business Administration.

In Economics, Covenant, she said, would offer the credential holders of MITx MicroMasters in DATA, Economics and Development Policy (DEDP) the possibility of earning 14 credits of the total graduate credits toward the completion of Master’s Degree in Economics.

Holders of MITx MicroMasters in Principles of Manufacturing would have the possibility of earning 18 credits toward the completion of the Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, while holders of MITx MicroMasters in Statistics and Data Science (SDS) the possibility of earning 3 credits toward the completion of Master’s Degree in Computer Science.

I hope those hating on the Church for maintaining certain academic standard - and by extension financial standard - see how the fee is translating into good work.
School isn't about getting your certificate for N100k over four years then bragging about getting same jobs as CU grads. It goes beyond that.

Although a good step in the right direction however there is nothing to celebrate here. MicroMaster is just a glorified online program.

And there's none of the actual ivy leagues except Harvard that matches MIT by any parameter.
Now show me any other Nigerian institution with any significant collaboration with any reputable western university before talking down on this one.
