Rhetoric Question by prettyblacky(f): 11:31pm On Nov 30, 2018
Rhetoric question:
An answer to these rhetoric question
The truth and only truth; African has lost its stand.
We choose to bury own and adopt another's way of life
Oh what a shame!

We got deceived and surrendered our mandates and mantle
They gathered them all for themselves and turn them into fortunes
Shall we keep on living This way? How long can we be fooled?

The guiding spirits of our ancestors keep calling from their resting abode
Isn't it time to remember our root and avail ourselves of wisdom
The wisdom of our ancestors.

Our moral, social and economic problems are traceable to negligence
To voices, advices and values of our fore fathers and ancestors
And as a result, we are left in agony, pains, and disaster.

B. Diop earlier once said and I quote him
"They (ancestors) had left on the earth, their cries
in the air, on the water, where they had traced; their signs"

Nature will obviously bear witness to our ancestor's warning
That they had warned us before"Things falls apart"
They traced the signs of our predicaments today and
Had advised us on the right path to follow.

But as renegades, we blatantly rebelled against and disobeyed our ancestors
Now we have destroyed their valuable legacies on earth
Resulting to our torments and its unpleasant effects on us, making others look at us with pity.

No one is to be blamed for our woes, we brought it upon ourselves
The best we can do is tracing our way back to the root, discarding alien culture
And embracing wisdom of the old,
If only we do these, our Africa will become again
The pride of the continent!
