BSS Vocational & Skill Acquisition Center, accredited by Federal Ministry of Works & Labour as Trade Test Center, is set up as a Vocational Training Institute that provides solution to the challenges of Unemployment and lack of skilled manpower for Small and Medium Enterprises in the country due to lack of well-funded, Structured and Accredited Training institutions.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Electrical Engineering Instructor

Location: Lagos

Job Description

We urgently require an experienced Full Time Instructor to work in our Vocational & Skill Acquisition center.
Responsibilities

Design electronic components, software, products, or systems for commercial, industrial, medical, military, or scientific applications
Analyze customer needs and determine electrical system requirements, capacity, and cost to develop a system plan
Develop maintenance and testing procedures for electronic components and equipment
Evaluate systems and recommend design modifications or equipment repair
Inspect electronic equipment, instruments, and systems to make sure they meet safety standards and applicable regulations
Plan and develop applications and modifications for electronic properties used in parts and systems to improve technical performance
Design new ways to use electrical power to develop or improve products
Do detailed calculations to develop manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications
Direct manufacturing, installing, and testing of electrical equipment to ensure that products meet specifications and codes.
Qualifications

Candidates must possess a B.Sc, HND or equivalent from any recognized Technical institution.
A registered member of National Association of Technological Engineers (NATE) would be an added advantage
Requirements:

Must have worked in the Electrical & Electronics Engineering Department in a reputable Technical College or its equivalent.
Must have an in depth understanding of the subject electrical & electronics engineering including recent developments in electrical & electronics engineering.
Must be honest, God fearing and diligent at work
Experience of teaching effectively and providing a stimulating environment for learning and teaching to motivate, inspire and challenge Students.
Ability to design, deliver, assess and revise teaching programmes.
Experience and success in developing new approaches to learning and teaching methods.
Must have a proven track record of contributing to the overall success of own and wider academic departments.
Excellent communication skills with experience of developing networks and contributing to the development of better working practices.
Must have at least 2 – 5 years of post-qualification experience in teaching, research and academic administration
The candidate must reside in Lagos.
Skills:

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have knowledge of a wide range of electrical & electronics technologies.
Must have strong public speaking skills.
Must be detail oriented and mechanically inclined.


Job Title: Fashion Design Instructor

Location: Lagos

Job Description

We urgently require an experienced Full Time Instructor to work in our Vocational & Skill Acquisition center.
Responsibilities

Creating or visualising an idea and producing a design by hand or using computer-aided design (CAD)
Keeping up to date with emerging fashion trends as well as general trends relating to fabrics, colours and shapes
Planning and developing ranges
Understanding design from a technical perspective, i.e. producing patterns and technical specifications for designs
Sourcing, selecting and buying fabrics, trims, fastenings and embellishments
Developing a pattern that is cut and sewn into sample garments and supervising the creation of these, including fitting, detailing and adaptations
Qualifications

Candidates must possess a Technical College Education with Trade Test and certificate from National Business &Technical Examination Board (NABTEB).
A registered member of Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria (FADAN) would be an added advantage.
Requirements

Must have worked in the fashion design department in a reputable Technical School or Fashion Academy.
Must have an in depth understanding of the subject fashion design including recent developments in fashion design.
Must be honest, God fearing and diligent at work
Experience of teaching effectively and providing a stimulating environment for learning and teaching to motivate, inspire and challenge Students.
Ability to design, deliver, assess and revise teaching programmes.

Excellent interpersonal skills; and the ability to build relations and to work collaboratively.
Outstanding knowledge of the creative fashion design process, from concept to 2D and 3D design development, fabric selection, collection and brand development
Must possess strong skills in draping, basic/creative pattern drafting and garment construction particularly in relation to elements of pattern making
Have a very sound knowledge in design principles, fabric properties and textiles manipulation
Must be very familiar with textile and fashion products in order to teach students how to develop fashion collections
Up to date with current and emerging fashion industry practice, and willingness to learn the latest innovative teaching method
Able to handle CAD or computer skills for fashion design such adobe photo shop, illustrator and GERBER system
Dynamic and enthusiastic, with an interest to nurture students and to help them achieve their potential in garment making skills and creative design
Have the ability to adapt to a multicultural setting and to handle students of different nationalities

Experience

2 – 5 Years in similar job with a credible portfolio.

Job Title: Computer Instructor

Location: Lagos
Job Type: Full Time

Job Description

We urgently require an experienced full time intructor to work in our Vocational & Skill Acquisition center.
Responsibilities

Organize, maintain and manage class systems in proper working condition.
Teach students and learners to use computers.
Manage and monitor student behavior.
Integrate special lesson plans with core academic curriculum.
Train and instruct students, learners and end-users in computer operations.
Design and develop computer instructional material useful for end-users and learners.
Evaluate and assess student progress.
Implement new technologies and methodologies in training issues.
Brief and instruct end-users on new technologies, software programs and applications.
Integrate best practices in training schedules and procedures and issues.
Requirements

Must have worked in the computer science department in a reputable university, polytechnic or any reputable computer school.
Must have an in depth understanding of the subject computer science including recent developments in computer science.
Must be honest, God fearing and diligent at work
Experience of teaching effectively and providing a stimulating environment for learning and teaching to motivate, inspire and challenge Students.
Ability to design, deliver, assess and revise teaching programmes.
Must have a proven track record of contributing to the overall success of own and wider academic departments.
Excellent communication skills with experience of developing networks and contributing to the development of better working practices.
Must have at least 2 – 5 Years of post-qualification experience in teaching, research and academic administration.
The candidate must reside in Lagos.
Qualification

Candidates must possess a B.Sc or HND in Computer Science or equivalent from a recognized academic institution.
A registered member of Computer Professionals of Nigeria (CPN) or Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) would be an added advantage.
