The All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has asked residents to jettison the claim that Lagos was in bondage and needs freedom, saying, what the state needs is to strengthen it’s economic development.
Sanwo-Olu’s appeal to Lagosians was an apparent reaction to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate, Jimi Agbaje’s claim that the state was enslaved and need to be freed.
The APC candidate reacted to the allegations by Agbaje during a courtesy visit to the Palace of Akran of Badagry, De-Ahollu Menu-Toyi on Sunday.
He noted that the state had gone beyond issues of slavery, rather, what should be the clamour by all was how can Lagos leverage on its potential to improve it’s economic development.
Sanwo-Olu, who also visited monarchs under Badagry division with his running mate, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, argued that Badagry, like other party’s of the state has several opportunities, which when elected, intends to explore.
He added that Badagry has centers that could help drive the tourism in the state.
According to him, the historic heritage would be preserved and the economic independence will be enhanced.
Sanwo-Olu further promised, when elected, his administration will push for construction of a seaport within Badagry and completion of the Lagos-Badagry 10-lane road.
He assured the monarchs that these projects will be part of his administration infrastructural focal point.
The gubernatorial candidate noted that the plan would make the generations yet to come appreciate efforts of those before them.

He asked for support to push Lagos to a greater height.

The gubernatorial aspirant who was in the company of his Obafemi Hamzat and his campaign team were given a massive welcome on their entry into badagry.

Let's watch hatefull people from one irrelevant region tongue makes it their life goal to comment on a region they had to cross river Niger to while no form of development happens in their barren land where their leaders only build statues, or drink like a chronic alcoholic in government house .. This nonentities won't worry about the fact that they've never ruled this country since 50years ago due to their political neivity and acute greed yet minority like ijaw's Jonathan could lead due to Obasanjo's influence. This is why I refrain from commenting whenever their shops get locked up in Ghana, or Asians beheading them for drugs or southafricans harrasing them, even the quit notice by abok1s

Lagosians are foolish and they will still vote for someone that has enslaved her. They despise freedom and I bet Tinubu will rather die than let pdp take over Lagos.

And this is how a man accused of being a drug addict by his own predecessor is going to rule lagos. And some funny people are already screaming sanwo eko, when the problem starts now they would be looking to blame the pastor on their street for not building factory.

Apc job is to distract us from the evil buhari is plotting against Christianity

I ask again!! Who killed over 200 innocent christians in jos 4 months ago??
Why has none of them been caught ?

Why were the 5 killers of general idris alkali in jos caught less than a month after ?

Who killed 100 christians in southern kaduna ?

Why havent they been caught ?

Who killed over 80 christians in benue ? Where are the killer fulani herds men who killed and raped over a 100 christians in benue?

If buhari could find the killers of major general idris alkali his fulani brother in less than a month why are all these christian murders unsolved ?

This is Ikeja the capital of Lagos some parts

I think the first thing is let people plant trees ! Have greenery like Enugu and Abuja and also let people use colorful long span roofing like they do in eastern cities

Flying into Lagos....the site is always disturbing

Shamelessness is leaving your state of origin to meddle in southwest politics, don't your region have a seaport and international airport functioning to worry about, or you have accepted your faith as Yoruba slave and 4th class citizen and an economic almajiri
