…as EU, World Bank, others back campaign against human trafficking, illegal migration

The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, has declared open the 2nd Roundtable Dialogue on Managing Migration, with representatives of international organisations, local Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and other stakeholders involved in the campaign against human trafficking and illegal migration, in attendance.

The 2-day event which is holding in Benin City, provides the platform for stakeholders to fine-tune strategies that will assist the government and its partners to reduce the menace of human trafficking and illegal migration.

The programme organised by the Managing Migration through Development Programme (MMDP), which is a coordinating entity for the campaign against human trafficking and illegal migration run by the state government, the European Union (EU) and the World Bank.

The first Roundtable Dialogue was held in Abuja, on May 23rd 2018, and gave birth to a number of partnerships and collaborations, identified gaps, proffered workable solutions to the menace and set the stage for the 2nd edition of the Roundtable Dialogue on Managing Migration Through Development.

Edo state seems to be in the right hand. Obaseki seems to be doing a good job.
