As the party’s presidential flag off campaign draws near, the Party leadership for fear that the event might be scantily attended is now offering 10,000 Naira per person for rally attendance

APGA is presently in bad shape in Anambra State, the only state which the party controls following the scandalous primaries conducted by the party executives. There is a revolt in the state House of Assembly which has led to the impeachment of the speaker with the Governor himself facing possible impeachment.

There is a general consensus within the party members that for peace to return to the party, the party chairman must resign for incompetence and unparalleled corruption. The various investigative panels set up by the party have also recommended as such.

There has been a massive defection by members of APGA to other political parties in Anambra State in recent times.
