The Adoration Ministry Enugu, Nigeria, on Saturday alleged that an attempt has been made on the life of its spiritual director, Rev’d. Fr. Ejike Mbaka by some unknown gunmen, stressing that the attempted assassination is either “politically engineered or ecumenically endorsed”.

This is coming amidst controversies generated by Mbaka’s utterances last Sunday at his ministry’s annual thanksgiving and bazaar, which has attracted wide criticisms, including from the Catholic Bishops of Nigeria.

Chief Aka Emmanuel, President, National Adoration Family, Chief Okolo Godwin, President, Adoration Fathers’ Associations Worldwide, Mrs Ann Aligwe, President, Adoration Mothers’ Association World Wide, Chukwu Agoziem, President,  Adoration Youths’ Association World Wide and Barr Ike Maximus Ugwuoke – Media Chief, disclosed that some unknown gunmen fired gun shots at Mbaka Thursday evening
on his way along Emene road, Enugu.
