Whats the point using a card reader that has no electoral law backing it? |

Igbos are not afonjas that deny their identities to bash people here. I'm a proud Igbo boy, take it to the bank boy. |

Electronic transmission of results saves time. Not approving its use means voting results will take more days to collate thereby giving room for altering the result. This admin have planned to rig the result very well. God will help them that the overall result will be more than the registered voters. |

Just one man fought for Democracy, he lived for it and died for it. MKO Abiola. Abacha offered him money to be released and denounce June 12, he refused. Ojukwu returned to take federal appointment. The bone of contention has never been the deployment of card readers; it has been the issue of Incident Forms. That has been the crux of za matter!! that was what gave buhari victory last time and he is still banking on it...hence the goose flesh you saw on him when the new electoral bill proposed a cancellation of the Incident Form!! |

Impostor and not clone, the two words are not the same. I wonder you lots have avoided the impostor version and dwell more on the clone,I guess because it is more difficult to defend Buhari being an impostor/double. davodyguy: 1 Like |

INEC is solely routing for the military junta headed by Buhari. All the democratic gains made since 1999 have been eroded. |

There is a need to transmit the result, you can have the backup. People saying Russian hackers, why has our banking platform not been hacked. There are many ways to transmit a message, why not use both SMS and multiple email account to ensure consistency. Fools that are against this will support it tomorrow. |

INEC of this time is obviously biased, routing solely for the military junta headed by Jubril Al-Sudani. |

jodeci:It's your Kanu that's selling the logic of both a clone and impostor to you his followers. All you need to do is prove scientifically that the man in Aso Rock is not buhari, and stop behaving like lazy idiot Kanu. Let me educate you. Donald Trump doubted the fact that Obama was born in the US. He said it openly before 2012. He started a secret investigation from 2012. The investigation was so thorough that the outcome was announced in 2016. Trump himself came out to say Obama was born in US after wasting $ on investigation. We call it the birther issue. Clone or impostor issue can be investigated too. ABI? Stop making noise on the internet abeg.

Pecca: For now, card reader is not in the electoral act whether we like it or not and like the supreme court said in the case of Wike that INEC guideline cannot supersede the electoral act. Hence, where the card reader fails, incidence forms and manual verification will be used since according to Supreme court judgment in the case of Wike vs Peterside, Umanna vs Udom Emmanuel and Okezie Ikpeazu vs Alex Otii, it is recognized by the electoral act while the card reader is not. Anything short of that will amount to illegality and disenfranchisement of legitimate voters. 1 Like |

alen4smith:Oga, you need to change your mentality and embrace the dynamism of life, things are evolving. The only thing that can solve almost 90% of problems in this world is technology and that has come to stay, that pdp could not finish it doesn't mean that APC should not. Let us look at the brighter side of it, we all own this country, so, don't demand less from it because of sentiment, I know that you deserve more than whatever you are getting. And for the politicians, they can always jump from one party to another if that would put food in their tables but what of you and I? Think about your children, will they keep going like this, one day the hunter will become the hunted. The earlier we start the better for us, anything can happen tomorrow 1 Like |

agwom:Mr INEC chair, the issue is not just deploying card reader, but insisting n making sure that they worked properly n the prohibition of the dubious use of incidents forms, the card reader itself can only be of real value if accreditation n voting will be done simultaneously if not it is still only a celebrated nonsense, there is the need for our elections to be completely computerized if we are really desirous of credible n transparent elections, why is INEC refusing to use electronic means of transmitting results if there is no hidden dubious plans of result alterations after voting? ordinary INEC don't need any legislation to use electronic means to transmit results it should have been an innovation from them to fasten the process while keeping the paper records in case of legitations, buhari sure knows why he is vehemently oppose to the electoral amendment even after so many concessions from NASS to accommodate his shenanigans, buhari/Apc are pure evil that Nigerians should n must do away with in 2019. |

kahal29: same reason the NASS sat and deliberated on it and came up with a bill that will take care of that and subsequently transmitted same to the president for his accent! what the president has done? he has declined accent to that draft bill four times and he waits till the last day - the 30th day - to make his position known. i tell u he has an ulterior motive all along. he was just string the NASS and Nigerians along. he banks on the incident form to rig this election. his reasons are hollow after all Jonathan signed the Act less than 20 days to the last general elections and Buhari benefited from it. why is he scared to do the needful now? Mr integrity at his best!! |
