Reports say that presidential candidate of the pdp and Atiku Abubakar and his Ally Congress Party of Nigeria Counterpart, Oby Ezekwesili are to sign the peace accord on the conduct of the 2019 elections today.

The two candidates and some others who were not present when President Muhammadu Buhari who is the apc candidate signed the accord in Abuja Yesterday.

The national peace accord was convened by eminent nigerians led by former head of state Rtd Gen Abdulsalami Abubakar.

Two similar agreements where signed in 2015 which required the candidates to avoid any acts that may lead to the outbreak of violence before, during and after the election.

Earlier, the people's democratic party had blamed the communication lapse for its candidate not been present to sign the deal with other candidates for peaceful elections.

Also, Atiku's spokesman Segun Sowunmi was quoted as saying that the pdp presidential candidate was not invited to the event.

But the committee chairman former military rule Rtd Gen Abdulsalami Abubakar denied any snub and maintained that all the candidates where duly invited.
