No election in Anambra: Ngige says INEC is on suicide mission - Obi confirms there was no election in Anambra
14.04.2007 Sunday, April 15, 2007

In Achalla, headquarters of Awka North Local Government Area of the state, two people were killed while INEC local government headquarters in Onitsha North and Awka North were burnt down.

Electoral materials were not seen visibly in any polling station and where they were supplied, it would be in the individual houses of PDP members and hotels, where you see all members of PDP in line waiting to vote without other members of the public who were waiting at the polling station for the materials to come.

In Umuoba primary school in Obosi, and Nokwa in Idemili South Local Government Area, their ballot boxes were forcefully taken away by thugs who announced that all those in the polling station that were not PDP members should vacate the place.

There was shooting in Nnewi town, Obosi, Onitsha and Ekwulobia and in Alor and Nokwa where people protested, saying that no Ngige, no election.

In Ekwusigo, journalists were stoned and in Imperial Hotel, Ekwulobia, where PDP members were having elections, they were not allowed to enter the premises as police officers on duty said they were adhering to instructions.

When contacted, the ADC gubernatorial candidate, Mrs. Njideka Anyadike, and the gubernatorial candidate of DPP, Prince Victor Ezenwa, called for the cancellation of the elections.

At the country home of the PDP gubernatorial candidate, Dr Andy Uba, people gathered in all the polling stations waiting for the election materials but Dr Uba said there was no cause for alarm as the materials would soon arrive and advised his people to wait for the materials.

All the party chairmen of the other political parties who briefed the press asked for the cancellation of the election.

Chief Ndubuisi Nwobu, who spoke on their behalf, said since the election was not held, INEC should look for another date to conduct fresh free and fair election and called for the transfer of the INEC State Resident Comissioner, Nasiru Ayilara.

Worried by the news filtering into Government House, Awka, that election was not taking place in any part of the state, His Excellency, Mr. Peter Obi, decided to have a first hand information.

At the Anaocha Local Government headquarters, Nneni, some INEC officials expressed confusion over what was happening.

At the Nnewi Police station, a mild drama took place between the governor and the DPO, Mr. F. A. Bissong. The DPO arrested one car with registration number CE942ENU with guns and INEC result sheets in a big brown envelop. The governor insisted on examining the contents, but the DPO, after some phone calls refused on the reason that he must get clearance from his boss. After the governor made series of calls, he, Sir Victor Umeh, Dr. Alex Obiogbolu and others were allowed to examine the contents and they discovered already written results of voting in Aniocha, when voting was yet to take place. On interrogation, the driver of the vehicle said he knew nothing about the result sheets and that it was put into the car by his boss, Ifenna Ikegwuonu, the coordinator of Andy Uba Campaign Organization in Aniocha.

From Nnewi, the governor went to different polling centres. He was at Obeagu Primary School Agulu at 1.30 p.m where some INEC people were seen just coming. However, they came with other materials except the result sheets.

At Nkitaku, Obe, Odidama and other places, the governor went to, it was a case of no INEC official. The situation was the same at Amatutu, the place the Governor was supposed to vote. As at 2.30 p.m, for an election that would end at 3pm, there were no INEC officials.

The visibly worried governor said, “You could see it yourself that no voting took place in Anambra State”.

Majority of voters confessed they had come to vote for those vying for the state House as Mr. Peter Obi is yet to complete his tenure.

Speaking to the press, Mr. John Ifejiokwu of the Federal Information Resource Centre said that his group had visited Oyi, Amansea, Nteje, Agulu, Achalla, Onitsha and Ekwulobia and that elections did not take place in any of these places

When contacted, the former state governor, Dr. Chris Ngige, said INEC did not do him bad by disobeying court order because they were in a suicide mission to deliver the state to Dr. Andy Uba.

He said that it was a shame that PDP members were carrying away ballot papers in the presence of foreign observers who also noticed that the materials did not reach their destinations (the polling stations).

Why is President Obasanjo and his PDP destroying our beloved country Nigeria?

Over 52 people were killed, including 9 police officers and 4 soldiers during the elections yesterday.

In Finima on Bonny Island, voting started around 7 p.m.

President Obasanjo have kept his word that the elections would be a do or die affair.

So, OBJ is the one killing people, buring INEC offices and snatching ballot boxes?

Oriks you are indeed right~twas a do or die affair for papa and pickin!
Ngige despite the court ruling that he was to contest was not allowed to,Obi was technically disallowed from running again and Andy Uba~presidential house boy a la domestic servant who lacks as depicted constitutionally the basic requirements for the office hes contesting for was given the necessary armory to bulldoze into State House!
Some retard would say was OBJ involved in the shenanigan that occured in Anambra,Ekiti,Ondo,Adamawa,Oyo and other states?Who knows for sure? But when the people did collectively rise in most states to say no to political banditry and misrule and their votes got manipulated,in some instances they were disenfranchised, murdered for dearing to oppose the snatching of ballot boxes;then we can say bravo to the do or die polticians those with no moral compass;full of moral turpitude;kleptocrats, bandits and pseudointellectuals all masquerading as the people's servants
Damn shame it is

OK!

Andy Uba is declared winner by IWU's INEC, yet we know its robbery!

Ofcourse, our people are still angry!. There will be an appeal and let us hope that the judiciacry will come to our rescue.

Of course, this nothing but the "do or die" as explained by OBJ. Yet, it is Iwu's gloriuos moments, but soon when they finish using him, they will dump him.

We are not allowed to choose our leaders by internal colonial masters, and yet they want us to have faith in Nigeria?

1999 elections was better than 2003, 2003 was better than 2007, are we progressing or retrogressing?

It's obvious to note that Obj is a mastermind in every case regarding the election at Anambra state. Of what importance is the two days public holidays in the country, if not a road block for Ngige and his counterpart to get ticket from INEC. To hell with baba and his page boy.
