With all the failings of the Buhari administration one would have expected Peter Obi to have a clean sweep at the debates but Osibanjo came out of the debates unscathed with some observers undecided on who won the debate. This is a clear victory for osibanjo. Peter Obi failed to convince Nigerians why they should abandon Buhari for Atiku. He came with false statistic as usual and looked rather unprepared,

Well, for me, throughout the debate I kept waiting for Peter Obi to 'wow' me with his much touted rhetorical razzmatazz but alas that moment never came. I had to conclude that he is all hype and little substance. At a point he was almost shouting while hardly making any [China] sense.

To be honest Peter could have done better. He was too gentlemanly and that's not very good in a debate. Trying to be too issue based. While on the other hand, Osinbajo was throwing rubutals up and down.

Osinbajo did well. Not because the government has done a quarter of what he said, but because he is a good talker. And he should be being a Lawyer, Professor and Pastor. So oratory is his constituency. But the the narrative of 16 years of pdp misrule is sounding like a broken record to the disgust of Nigerians as evident in the debate.

Nevertheless, the support for pdp amongst the audience was overwhelming. I thought Abuja was on lockdown for SaiBaba.

Truth be told, Buharis votes will come only from those close to the corridors of power, illiterate northerners, tribalistic southwesterners (hoping for power to return to SW in 2023) and those who will sell their votes on election day.

If not for these set of people, Buhari is certain to be chilling amongst hiS 150 Gay cows on the evening 29th May, 2019
