Two States interest me, Ogun and Cross River.
Cross River is 100% PDP, they played their politics and all are returning.
Dasuki and co - una well done, but give others opportunity to represent.

In Ogun, the Tinubu proxies - Amosun fiasco is at play.
U FORGOT IMO AS ONE OF THE INTERESTING STATES TO WATCH

Where as . Sarathief contested for pdp presidential primaries. And somehow he was given the senate ticket even without contesting.
Pdp will never change . It’s in their blood
When saraki, kwankwaso, rochas did the same in 2014 was it in their blood?

The way things are all over the world's parliaments. The Lower House is always fluid and unstable. That is why key Federal issues are handled in the Upper Chamber where a good number of mrmbers are there for life. However it makes the Lower Chamber more sensitive to the desires and whims of the electorate citizen which is actually the purpose of representation.

In a nutshell the Senate is closer to government while the Reps are closer to the people and this reflects in the turnover of both houses.

Point of correction. As I knw three Reps from katsina would not come back to the house of reps these are: Sani danlami katsina central who lost primary to Iro Isansi under APC, Danlami Kurfi who lost to Armaya'u Kurfi also under APC, then Sani sa'idu Fago who step down for Buhari nephew Mr Fatahu for Daura, Sandamu, Baure Federal constituency.

Seen.

Add that the sole presidential candidate of APC is most likely not returning to power in less than 6months time.

Due to the following;
1. Old age and incompetence
2. Abysmal performance and poor governance.
3. High poverty and unemployment rates
4. Insecurity
5. Corruption
He is also a body double from the desert of Khartoum grin

ENUGU

Just like Ekiti, one lawmaker from Enugu state is confirmed as not returning in 2019.

The lawmaker, Chukwuemeka Ujam, who is a first timer representing Nkanu East/West, failed to secure a return ticket.

http://mcebiscoo.com/2018/12/16/rep-members-will-not-return-house-2019-see-list/

Enugu has 3 members not returning being chime Oji of Enugu north/south , chukwuemeka ujam of nkanu east/south and Dennis agbo (dna) of udenu/uzo uwani and they are all first time representatives, they all lost the pdp ticket and did not move on

Same way Kwakwanso was given by APC in 2015 after losing the presidential primary to Buhari. I think Okorocha did the same using his son in-law as the player (He held the ticket for him) as he contested the same presidential primary. #Wakeup Zombie

Most northern states have ten constituencies while just few states of the south have up to 10.

It's the reason any northern agenda will easily scale through while the South will always have to lobby the north before it's agenda scales through.

This has to stop.

I propose the House of Rep should be like the Senate with equal representation of every state. If every state is to have ten, then ten.

Gosh. This systemic and institutional imbalance has to stop.

you are not correct tho

Imo has 10

Lagos 24

Oyo 14

Akwa ibom 10

Anambra 11

Delta 10

Rivers 13

Those are the southern States with at least 10 reps

then the north

Bauchi 12

Benue 11

Borno 10

Jigawa 11

Kaduna 16

Kano 24

Katsina 15

Nigee 10

Sokoto 11

The rest are either having 7, 8 or 9.

in all the north has 6 more reps than the south

But then, the middle belt States are not exactly :"north" tho

u just took it from my mouth....Nigeria as its currently run is built on lies, partiality, injustice, inequity, oppression, misrule, all in favor of the north.... yet they bri.ng about 95% of security problems in Nigeria. the amount spent on security votes for the north annually could have have helped Nigeria as a whole....they are the cog in the wheel of development of Nigeria.

Even at the Senate it's still not balance and a northern agenda will easily pass. Check it, there are 19 plus 1 northern states and they are LIKELY to speak with one voice. There are 17 southern states and when the chips are down you will begin to see SE agenda, SS agenda and SW agenda and so the south is fragmented on a southern issue. So with 3 senatorial districts per state plus 1 there is still North South imbalance principally due to regional and sectarian interests.

many of them will still loose in general election, for example in Ogun State where ADC is now dominating, APC and PDP reps wouldn't see narrow escape.

The write up is not correct about Delta. Renieju and the likes of Solomon ahwwinawhi lost their PDP HOR primaries ticket but both decamp to SDP.

Daniel Renieju is still a candidate for Warri Federal House of Rep 2019 Election under SDP!
