Worried by the spate of kidnapping in Ondo State and palpable fear of residents in the state, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has summoned a security meeting with stakeholders to stem the tide.

In attendance at the meeting are all heads of security agencies in the state, State Executive council members, Traditional rulers from across the state, all local government chairmen among others.

Governor Akeredolu condemned the spate of kidnapping which he said has become the new face of Ondo state.

He said the meeting became necessary as communities must be involved in the security of the state.

The meeting later went into a closed door session for security deliberation.
