Who is deceiving who? Look at the face of people donating N570million, while hunger is ravaging their homes and families. God will disgrace every form of deceit on Nigeria in 2019.

Kindly state the exact law(s) with reference.

Thank you.

P.S The association of fertiliser producers made the donation, not their respective companies.

CAMA law forbids companies from donating to campaigns.

Fertilizer producers is an association if companies. The members are companies, not individuals. So either as a group or as individuals, CAMA forbids them from contributing to politicians

You're wrong unfortunately.

Companies (Ltd) are by law, legal persons, who are distinct from their owners. That is why you can sue a limited liability company for its assets but the assets of the owner are untouchable.

The owners are distinct individuals that formed an association on the basis of their common interests.

Cheers.

In what way exactly am I wrong?
Yes, companies are legal persons.
Yes, owners of companies can donate their own money to whichever politician or political party they want. However, this is an association whose members are companies. So the association cannot donate to politicians or political parties. Or are you saying anyone can join the association?

So how did you determine that the association members are companies and not individual owners in their personal capacity united by a common enterprise? Read the name of the association again.

This is to say thank you for excluding fertilizer from goods that qualify for importation and access to cbn dollars some weeks back. shocked

isn't that good for the local industry----must we import everything .

I am in support of the ban on importation of goods that can be manufactured locally
