Murillo who was born on 27th May 1992 is an experienced defender and had represented his country in the 2015 and 2016 Copa America.

He trained at Deportivo Cali in his hometown until he was 18 years old. The leap to European football was made when he signed for Udinese, although he played on loan for the first season at Granada’s academy.

From Granada, he joined Cadiz and Las Palmas respectively in a loan deal before joining Valencia permanently though it was a loan deal initially.
