a simple first aid trick would have saved him, he should have laid flat in that very position and raise his affected leg up above his heart to ensure adequate blood supply to the heart, after tying that his knee, a sitting or standing position is most dangerous position to be when you are bleeding below on your leg, if cut is on your hand, raise the hand above your head in a sitting position, recovery position.

No He did the right thing. It is just unfortunate that he paid with his life. That is what all of us should be doing. Standing up to the evil people. This should not stop us from getting all these robbers off our streets and have a better society. The Western world have many problems and were never scared of doing the right thing

Many people confuse foolishness with bravery.

It is not bravery when you challenge a man with a weapon. Even police officers look at situations before reacting. No police team will go after robbers that outnumber them by at least 2-1. They would immediately call for backup.

It is good and entertaining to watch action films. But we should never try to practise many of the moves in reality.

Jet Li can beat 100 men holding swords and guns. Don't you ever confuse this with reality. Just watch the films and enjoy. If you see 100 men holding weapons coming after you, don't you ever play Jet Li, you are not an actor. Neither are your opponents.

He didn't do the right thing.

He should have found a way to get support. The Western world do the right thing by either calling the cops or seeking support from some other person(s).

Someone trying to steal is already desperate enough. He would do anything to escape. The victim should have sought support or avoided direct confrontation with the thief.

In Nigeria, people die from preventable causes but we say it's their time. How come those same things don't kill people in the developed world?
Even when people die from accidents on bad roads that could have been fixed by the government, we still say it's their time.

Was he hacked by more than one person? If he was bold enough to have confronted the hoodlums, he should have been strong enough to overpower machete wielding thieves.

A young man named Samuel Audu, was hacked to death by a machete-wielding attacker at Low-Cost, Akwanga Council Area of Nasarawa State.

It was gathered that Sam Audu who recently celebrated his Passing Out Parade from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), was trying to prevent a burglar who was attempting to steal some bags of cement kept in a house he was hired to fix Plaster of Paris (POP) Ceiling before the hoodlum turned against him and macheted him, which made him to bleed to death. 

According to Eche Amos, the  incident happened between 8-9pm on Thursday, December 20th, 2018.

The police in Akwanga has been briefed about the incident, and the corpse of the deceased has been deposited in a mortuary.
