After the first leg of his check-up in Wiesbaden, Germany, following a major surgery in November, former Abia State Governor, Dr. Orji Kalu alongside his wife, Ifunanya and children, returned to Abuja on Saturday.
Kalu, clad in a white shirt and grey suit, and his family members, who arrived on Lufthansa airline, were seen exchanging pleasantries with political associates, friends and airport officials, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.
The former governor, who declined to grant an extensive interview with journalists at the airport, applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for the newly commissioned international terminal at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja.
Speaking further, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Abia North senatorial zone expressed appreciation to Nigerians for the show of love and support during his medical vacation abroad.

I've had the opportunity of traveling on same plane with obi twice. He's always alone, with his luggage . Amazingly, he's always seated in the economy cabin. I've looked at all the so called leaders and politicians in the APC. None of them has the integrity obi has. Everytime they say Jonathan and the pdp destroyed our economy for 16 years even during obj govt, when our economy was stable with one USD selling for as low as 120/130 naira and crude sold far lower per barrel than what the APC is realising today , I always ask myself if they're normal at all. These are the people who were once in the pdp before they migrated to the APC. Does it mean that they have suddenly forgotten their antecedents? Same people who destroyed our economy because of their selfish interest under the APC are now blaming the pdp ( their former party) for their woes . Orji kalu was a former pdp governor , rotimi amaechi was a PDP governor who encouraged corruption by meeting with the presidency and madam iweala at that time as head of governor's forum to drain the excess crude account by sharing it amongst the governors, which was supposed to be saved for the raining day. He's now talking nonsense and some fools are applauding him and buhari and saying sai baba till 2023. Something is really wrong with our youth, seriously.
