One thing christians must take note as long as they are on earth is that spiritual violence,warfare,and spiritual exercise and taking up the word of God are what they must take up as a habit of faith with all watchfulness.
The earth is a warzone for christians and the time these attacks intensify most are the yuletide season when spiritual consciousness dies and physical consciousness becomes more alert.
ceremonies,occasions,club meetings,town meetings,society meetings,anniversaries,and all sort of celebrations pick up while it was not coupled with thorough spiritual activities to stem the increase in satanic activities,people suddenly become careless spiritually,exhibit soo much extravagancy physically,materially,financially and economically against all moderation in time,space and fellowship with GOD.
These are the areas christians get it wrong
1)Time:They have less or no time via out the ember months to rest,pray or fast towards the christmass period.They have no time to read the bible.

They have no time to update their lagging spiritual areas like failures to read their bibles or pray urgently all the time.They have no time to go back to evangelize to their families or non christian relatives and preach christ to deliver them to the kingdom of GOD.
The church programmes are the worst hit,they do not give adequate time for hearing the word of GOD.You would notice that singing ,drama,unbiblical activities in preparation for christmass celebration instead take away most time.satan is so smart,he makes hearing the word of GOD time to be tormenting,boring,burdensome and impatient to christians but makes working time,sporting time,celebration and viewing time and shopping,moneytime so easy for christians.we burn so much energy and power,attention and ambition for worldly things and activities than for the things of GOD.

The effect of these attacks spiritually are so devastating that things that have not happened to you before as a christian suddenly start to happen as your spiritual life becomes sick and would eventually die if there is no time for recovery
a)playfulness replaces prayerFulness.you play talk,go out with friends,club ,nite party or keep visiting directionlessly until you commit sin or fall into temptation.instead of praying round the clock via out the last 2 ember months for forgiveness of sin,protection,provision for you needs,against sudden attack and GODS plan for you in the coming new year you do nothing than play play play until you die spiritually.watch and pray,pray without season to redeem the time from evil.
b)wastefulness replaces watchfulness-its a pity that christians become wasteful with food,clothing and in the pursuit of gunning to get the latest things,the luxuries of life waste their soul.when december comes many commit sins just to gain luxury things because they have an ambition

Such ambition burns out christians spiritually.we do not seek GOD nor his ways ,but we seek the things of the gentiles-matthew 6:32-34.suddenly cares and worries take over your imagination and you become coveteous and greedy.you start to look for worldly gain and with the love of money,you are not far from perishing in an instant.
many christians become economically and physically indebted with running up and down to shop for christmass things.This is what God says in 1st timothy 6-8
"Now godliness with contentment is great gain-This means what is the essence of getting the latest things or luxury in a sinful way or with losing your faith and godliness" all because christmass is coming.
7"for we brought nothing into this world,and it is certain,we carry nothing"
8" and having food and clothing,we should be therein content
so having food and clothing must be moderate and not with extravagancy!
it is why wastefulness must not be tolerated.God wants his children to be moderate.
Verses 9 makes it apparent.
