Lost Home by poetictwenty(m): 6:06pm On Dec 23, 2018 |
THE HOME I NEVER HAD If I should nickname 'love',I'll call it 'Home'. If I'm to describe Home,I'd say it's a school where love is taught Home! A word that playback images of my childhood, And wears on my face, smiles, as I reminisce on the days I was tendered with love so pure, Days, when my sorrow was scared of mother's Lap And my nightmares flee at the sound of her lullaby Leaving me to wake up to the smell of mother's cooking. Home! A million words stitched together can't describe you, Same way I can't describe My father's love. His frowning face was a signpost directing me on the right way to go. And his hands was a fertile land where l harvested my needs. Home! Now, when I think of you, I only see a house: A house with its walls decorated with pictures of loved-ones that left without saying goodbye: Loved-ones who made me run home each holiday. I know I want to come back home! But pictures on the wall keep scaring me. How can I return to a House where none is there to hug and welcome me. My home is now an empty house, with broken dreams.
