Ledership by commanledershi(m): 8:07am On Dec 24, 2018
1. Character; create/ creative Have you ever wondered, why, there seems to be such a dearth of genuine leadership, and far too little, COMMON sense, used, by those, serving as leaders? In my, over
four decades, of involvement, in nearly all aspects of leadership, from identifying, qualifying, training, developing, and consulting to over a thousand actual and/ or potential leaders, to personally serving as a leader, in a variety of positions, and types of organizations, I've become concerned, about how rare, we actually, ever witness, genuine common sense. It's not enough to explain this, away, by a simplistic slogan, Common sense isn't very common, but, rather, we need to explore, how to instill this, in as many future leaders, as possible. With that in mind, this article will attempt to briefly examine, consider, review, and discuss, using the mnemonic approach, what is involved, and how, we might create more relevant leadership, in the future.
; choices; coordinate; common good: Organizations need to take the time, and make the effort, to clearly, demonstrate, the quality of their character, and, prioritize, creating a better, more relevant, group, which appeals to existing, as well as potential constituents. Every leader needs to make choices, and these should focus, on coordinating activities, and seeking, an appeal, to the common good. Only when the process makes more sense, will organizations benefit, and flourish!
2. Organized: If you hope, to lead, effectively, its necessary to proceed, in an organized manner, with a relevant strategy, and a well - developed, and considered, action plan. Either groups are sustainable, or they will fail to exist!
3. Motivate; mention: If a grow doesn't consistently grow, its future, is threatened, and thus, quality leaders, motivate and inspire others, not only to belong, and be committed, but also, develop future, prepared leadership! One of the simple, common sense, things, to do, is to carefully, mention others, and thank them, for their efforts! Doesn't that make sense?
4. Make mark: Shouldn't the objective of a leader, be, to make his mark, for the better, consistently, and, thus, leave the organization, stronger, and better, after his tenure and service, than he found it, when he began?
5. Optimum; order: Rather than settling for good - enough, there is a need, to seek excellence, and the optimum way, to proceed, forward! One must do this, in an orderly manner, and in order (one - step - at - a - time).
6. Needs; nuances; nerve: Those, in charge, must have the nerve, to be bold, enough, to proceed, based on needs, rather than restricting their approaches, to the limits of their self - imposed, comfort zones. There is no such thing, as one - size - fits - all, so it's important to recognize nuances, and use true, common sense!
