Christmas: Pastor TB Joshua commits gifts worth millions to poor, elderly

The Pastor of Synagogue Church of All Nations, Pastor T.B Joshua has committed gifts worth millions of naira given to poor and vulnerable people in the six geo-political zones.
A source close to the Church told Irohinoodua that Pastor Joshua bought gifts mainly food items, clothing and medicine worth several millions which he distributed across the country to poor people irrespective of their faith.

The items include but not limited to food items, medical equipment, toys, shoes and clothing.


'This is one of the most remarkable actions I have seen. I was moved to tears when I saw several trailers loading tons of rice and medical equipment to other parts of the country', a Muslim community leader at Ikotun where the Church is locate told Irohinoodua.

But an independent source told Irohinoodua that the Church also distributed gifts to poor people across West Africa and Latin America.

An Ugandan scholar on a visit to the Church, Dr Marthin Mulugha told our correspondent on Monday that outside Nigeria, Pastor Joshua remains one of the most famous African leaders due to his philanthropist.

He said 'This is the hallmark of Christianity.

The items were meant for poor and vulnerable people across the country. It's impressive to see the Church help people across the world who are poor. Christians across the world should emulate and learn from his benevolent actions.'

When our correspondent visited, several loads of food items were seen being distributed to vehicles that came from across the country.


Another visitor in the Church who does not wish to be named said Pastor Joshua invited thousands of youths from Lagos after which he fed them and provided for the material needs.
'Many of them were moved to tears. These were poor people that were not sure the next meal. The Church took the burden off their shoulders. He also preached to the poor youths to be prayerful and avoid violence.'


The visitor who came from Kaduna State said Pastor Joshua personally visited homes of poor people and settlements of several destitute where he changed their gloom images by providing medicine, food and clothing describing him as one of the world's most remarkable leaders.

He said 'I think Christian leaders should emulate him. He is an icon, an excellent example of Christianity and the exceptional love for the poor demonstrated by Jesus Christ while he lived.'

He observed that if all religious leaders could focus on the poor instead of exploiting them that the county would be more stable and violence free
