If the social media is telling lies then the Nigeria Police will have to come up with pictures and videos of the Police Officers to corroborate their clarification that no officer ran away from being deploy to Boko Haram crisis area.

Despite the fact that the report have gone viral the Nigeria police is still denying the report of the police officers that absconded from being deployed to the boko haram crisis area.

The same Nigeria Police killed Michael Adikwu, a dismissed police corporal and a principal suspect linked with the infamous Offa robbery where 5 commercial banks were raided by daredevil armed robbers which then led to the death of 33 persons including pregnant woman, police officers stationed at the 5 banks and the Offa police station.

The Nigeria Police killed Mr Adikwu who was under police custody awaiting trials for his involvement in the Offa robbery and shared the money recovered from the accussed.

The Nigeria Police reported to the media that Mr Michael Adikwu slumped. What a lies from the pit of hell?

There was no evidence that the money that was stolen by the robbers were returned to the commercial banks.

I don't expect them not to deny this since the list was full of Southern Christians. They felt they have been busted.

If they abscond without prior notice from their superior while under direct supervision they would be arrested for desertion, That is simply the law.

They were deployed and they accepted the mission why then did they leave their duty post without consent from their CO, it is illegal of them to do that.

If 167 out of 2000 abscond that is relatively negligible because it's less than 10%.

Have you ever heard of the world "drafted" in the context of the American military. Able bodied young men are called up if their number comes up to join the army irrespective not how they feel about it.

In Sweden everybody has a national service when they come of age, Likewise in Israel and many other countries. It is the norm for countries whose armies bare strained to get man power in such ways

The fact that the NYSC has not been used a an effective way to employ third level educated individuals through SSC and other short service is what's shameful. That shld be a pipeline to bring young people into short service.

The NYSC is a good thing for Nigeria and those who can't see the big picture are the ones that understate it's importance

How can they even think of deploying the police to fight BokoHaram when the army can’t even defeat them? Is this not a suicide mission for these policemen who are not trained for war bt policing?

First get ur facts right. The police they send are mobile police unit. They are given additional training aside what ur regular police get.. Also, Mopol has been with the military though to a limit all these years to fight Boko Haram. I sabi a lot of them who have been deployed and redeployed over the years with the military.. Mobile police force have been working with the military for a long time since the Boko Haram stuff started. Just that there is limit they can reach.
