It can be recalled that Akpabio and wife, Unoma successfully lured Mrs. Aisha Buhari to their Ukana home when the president's wife visited the state recently. It is gathered that Akpabio also made all efforts to lure the president to his home country but failed as the president snubbed him.

Perhaps, having successfully squeezed the Ukana visit into the President's itinerary, Akpabio started bragging. However, with the President's snub, Akpabio is feeling downcasted.
