But these guys jump in unprepared; not fully armed with the knowledge of what starting a blog entails. Whether you are a student or not, if you desire to start a blog or you’re already blogging, these 12 key thoughts are for you to have on your fingertips before jumping into the blogging business.

Blogging Business Startup Facts For Students: 12 Powerful Thoughts

What is Blogging?

Blogging is an act of publishing readable contents on a website in order to create awareness about something vital or to pass a piece of crucial information that may be of benefit to the masses (that is users in analytics terms). And this takes place online (internet). However, blogging is done or carried out on a blog.

What is a Blog?

A blog or weblog may be a discussion or informational website revealed on the World Wide Web (WWW) consisting of separate, usually informal diary-style text entries. Posts are sometimes displayed in reverse written record order, so the foremost recent post seems 1st, at the highest of the online page. The following online sources have more to say about this too:

Blogging involves selecting a niche best or suitable for the audience you have in mind. What I mean by this is having a specific genre of discussion you will be focusing on in the course of running your blog.

If you are confused about what I term “niche,” examples and suggestions below will best explain what I’m talking about;

Education
Personal Finance
Personal Development
Business
Technology
Fashion
Lifestyle
Food
Scholarships
Job Opportunities
Health
Fitness & Exercise
Sports
Entertainment
Relationship/Dating…and more!
The above list is an example of “niches” you can choose. And each of those has an audience that is constantly engaged.

Moreover, the niches I mentioned are on top of the world’s most-sorted-after-niches. There is virtually a high competition as to who has the capacity to stand out in any of those niches. And in order for you to effectively maximize any niche you choose, you need to, first of all, know your audience. The audience in this context spells out the specific group of people you wish to target in the course of starting a blog. Are you reaching out to students/academic enthusiasts (like I’m doing)? Business mongers? Sports Fans? Tech Lovers?…and what have you; you just define your audience. Note: a person who does blogging on a blog is a blogger. So let’s move further as I engage you more!

Kinds of Blogging

I know this heading sounds unconventional. Is there anything like “kinds of blogging?” I will tell you! There are two kinds or types of blogging you should know. In my own little experience, I have come to discover these two categories namely Part-Time or Casual Blogging and Professional or Full-Time Blogging.

Part-Time or Casual Blogging:

This kind does not observe the rules of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and Google Algorithm updates or pattern. Frequent updates may not be its priority. The blogger involved here does not give full time into the blogging business. He may probably have other businesses he runs. So the actual deal is not his concern.

Professional or Full-Time Blogging:

In this category, the blogger here makes blogging a full-time affair or job. This is the only thing he/she does for a living; he/she is not employed elsewhere.

This kind of blogging has constant updates (whether on a daily basis or weekly), it’s characterized with fresh and regular contents to keep its targeted users (audience) updated.

Approaches to Blogging:

You may wonder what this means. This entails, based on analysis, the reason why people blog. Are you blogging for passion or for business (that is to make money)? To fully understand this, there are two kinds of approaches to blogging thus:

Non-Profit Approach: This type of approach is fueled, influenced, navigated and controlled by a passion to express self. Many people who writing is a hobby fall into this category. They just love to write on several topics of interest to tell how they feel about a particular situation. The non-profit approach looks at bloggers who are obsessed about becoming publishers in such a way that blogging becomes a perfect tool to effectively reach out to the world. But they may not really have it in mind to solve a problem, because it’s a personal feeling that is playing out here. However, they can indirectly and ignorantly address certain challenges in society or issues affecting a specific audience without their knowledge, but not actually for profit making, not blogging business. Such blogs can be inspirational, spiritual, activists and the like.

Profit-in-Mind Approach: This approach connotes that blogging is for the sole purpose of making money or earning a living. So with this in mind, bloggers choose a niche that best works for them. And his major target is not what he feels but what people really want.

To be sure, this article will only cover the aspect of students who wish be involved in blog business. As a student, if you have blogging business in mind, then you need to learn the strategies to engage your audience to the point of conversion. That is releasing your “blog voodoo” to compel them to become part and parcel of your blog. In other words, push them to the brink of paying for your services or products. Before jumping into blogging business, arm yourself with the fundamental knowledge. So let’s delve into these 12 powerful and highly recommended facts before starting a blog.

Blogging Business is Not a Casual Practice:
Whether you are running a non-profit or a profitable blog, it should not be approached with a lackadaisical manner. Before people follow your blog to the point of conversion, you must make it look incredible. Owning a blog is a responsibility. As far as the word “business” is attached to blogging, you need to be serious because online platforms are highly competitive.

It Demands Solving a Problem: There is a wise saying that states thus, “the more problems you solve, the more money you make.” When people land on your blog via the result of queries they make on Google, they do that because there is something bothering them, thus the quest for a solution becomes imperative. Everyday people throng on the internet looking for information that can satisfy their curiosity. So if your blog lacks what they search for, or does not address any issue, then you are not in the blogging business.

Not Even a Quick-Rich-Scheme: If you want to succeed in the blogging business, then terminate this mentality, because there are no “quick fixes” in blogging.

Patience is Required: Patience, they say, is a virtue. For you to enjoy the benefits in the blogging business, you need to develop an attitude of patience. A blog takes time before it starts yielding a profit. Learn the principle of watching your blog’s growth. Don’t start a blog today and expect it to rank at the same level as a six-month blog the next day. It takes time!

Blogging Business Require a High Level of Discipline: Discipline in this context entails maintaining the flow of your niche. For example, if your blog niche is Fitness, then you need to stick to posting contents that reveals fitness tips and all about keeping the body fit. Don’t dive into inspirational or motivational posts; you will be misleading your audience and confusing Google Crawler. So stick to your niche.

It Involves Focus/Concentration: Focus in the sense that you must not be distracted. You cannot be busy doing a whole lot of online surveys, crypto trading, forex, and so on. This option is a no for you because you will be highly distracted...CONTINUE READING-[https://www.siaglobe.com/blogging-business/]
