OHANAEZE NDI-IGBO SOUTHWEST MOURNS SHEHU SHAGARI.

The Spokesman for Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo Southwest, Prince Erondu Uche has expressed shock at the death of the former Nigeria second republic President Alhaji Shehu Shagari.

In a Press release made available to newsmen on 29th December 2018, Prince Erondu Uche lamented at what he tagged "Exodus of Patriotic Elder Statesmen".
He noted that Shagari, Alex Ekwueme and others are leaving the stage at a time when their "wealth of experiences" are needed most in Nigeria.

The Ohanaeze Southwest Image Maker who is known for his prolific writings and arty quotations said that "the difference between a Ruler and a Leader is like light and darkness, Africa needs leaders".

"The deeds of good men outlive them and they are used as good examples. While the memories of a bad leader is a censure to his family and close allies. He advised Politicians to emulate the good legacies of the fallen Hero.

He told the Federal government to come up with a Policy which will ensure that icons of his likes would be appreciated while alive and be immortalized when they pass on.

He therefore prayed God to grant him eternal rest and give his immediate family, Sokoto state and Nigeria the fortitude to bear the loss.
