Onna Industrial Corridor is a budding new industrial hub in the Oil rich State of Akwa Ibom.
Mr Udom Emmanuel the governor of the state came on the saddle 3.5years ago with the promise to turn the once civil service state that depended only on revenue of oil receipts into a productive economy, that is capable goods and creating jobs for its teaming youth.
Looking back the governor has kept his words, and this corridor is a testimony to this.
The corridor presently plays host to 4 functional ventures and many more are under construction.
In just 3.5yrs a state that had no functional manufacturing concern besides crude oil production has witnessed the birth of 15 functional manufacturing ventures with many more at several of construction.
Onna industrial corridor has excellent network of good roads/ bridges, is less than 4km from the Ikot abasi jetty that service the aluminium smelter company and is 3km from the 191MW ibom power plant and less than 20km from Port harcourt, Nigerias Second most economical viable city outside Lagos.
These conditions makes the onna industrial corridor very attractive for investors who are pouring in there by the day.
In the corridor are :
a) Electricity meter assembly/manfacturing plant.
b) Jubilee syringe manufacturing plant.
C) Kings Flour Mill
D) Ibom Integrated Farms ltd.
E) Plywood factory.
