Mrs Akeredolu joins other Imo people to bid farewell to their fallen Monarch:

Imo-born Ondo First Lady, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, joined other sons and daughters of Imo State to pay their last respect to the late traditional ruler of Emeabiam autonomous community, in Owerri West local government area of Imo State, His Royal Highness, Eze Anthony A. Okereafor JP, Abiam I of Emeabiam, as his remains was laid to rest in his hometown.


In her condolence message, Mrs Akeredolu who is also the apex traditional title holder in the community, “Ada Emeabiam II”, said the late Eze died at the time when some concerned citizens of Emeabiam were joining force and gathering momentum to chart a noble cause of building a new Emeabiam of their dreams.

She prayed God to grant the royal family and the good people of Emeabiam fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Other dignitaries at the funeral included traditional rulers from the 27 local government areas of Imo State, politicians, top government officials and community members both home and abroad based.

Various cultural displays and a novelty football match were some of the highlights of the event.
