From Atiku's own account, he wasn't present at the scene of the incidence. He was home that day being a weekend. So the much he knew was from briefing by ground staff. So his recent claim that he prevented the smuggling of money into the country is a fat lie

He stated the number of suitcases brought in, not their contents, was entered into the customs" station diary. So how did he know the contents was money. If indeed it was money, he should kindly state in which currencies.

Atiku cannot pretend in his current ego trip that he didn't know who the suitcases belonged to. In 2017, he pointedly stated in the interview with Thisday, that a powerful first class traditional ruler in the north was the owner of the suitcases. Even though in his usual cowardly disposition he couldn't mention his name, we all know who that traditional ruler was. Why is Atiku now yarning a new tale.

He claimed, he almost lost his job as a result of the incidence. He should have lost his job and put on trial! Here is a man who said the station diary of the customs was supposed to be a confidential government document but allowed a journalist to peruse it which was later used to write a damaging report against the government and its officials, a clear violation of Decree 4.

Atiku should be asked of what became of the investigation he claimed to have initiated on the 53 suitcase saga

At least, he told the press what he was briefed by the ground staff, unlike the current custom boss that couldn't tell Nigerians when maina that is on efcc watch list sneaked in and out of the country, he couldn't brief the press when kemi adeosun was leaving. Can you now spot the difference in their integrity at work?

So if the President wanted to bring in illegal money, the regional head of Customs can stop the President. A military Head of State for that matter. Atikuloot should go and tell IPOB miscreants who are senseless like him.

This Atikuloot just shot himself again as he has always done by mentioning a Northern Ruler as money launderer without mentioning the Ruler's name. Now he has lost all Northern Rulers' support by throwing mud on them all.

the 53 suit cases actually belonged to Emir Jokolo whose son was Buharis ADC then and it was open secret that that the son actually used the dad to launder those suitcases , if Buhari was not involved why did he kill the case

Get the facts right. This is the explanation of Mr Odumakin in 2011

Details on the 53 suitcases

Buhari’s spokesman, Mr. Yinka Odumakin, in another statement giving further details on how the 53 suitcases were ferried into the country said: “In 1984, the Emir of Gwandu whose son was ADC to General Buhari was returning to the country from overseas.

The Head of State on learning of his arrival asked his son to go and receive him at the airport as they were only playing squash at the time.

“Coincidentally, the Nigerian ambassador to Libya at the time, Dr. Tahir Waziri, arrived at the same time with the Emir with his three wives and 16 children.

They all came with their belongings as he was coming home to take up a new appointment as chief of protocol to the Head of State. It was the suitcases of the family of 20 that were counted as belonging to the Emir and falsely presented to the public.

This is the irony of the whole saga. Atiku was just an ordinary area comptroller not even the Comptroller-General of Customs. There were a thousand and one ways to silence him but he wasn't conswquential

The Atiku team should revitalize their campaign in the coming year by focusing on RESTRUCTURING and A united Nigeria inclusive of all tribes.
This is where their strength lies. This is what the Nigerian people need at this time that makes him valuable to them as president.
In the coming year, I suggest that he should lay out his plans point by point on how he intends to restructure Nigeria within the first year of his government .

I am from Anambra state. I met Obi sometime in October this year at Eko Hotels and spoke with him briefly.

I tell you before man and God, Obi has nothing to offer Nigeria. Forget all his chants about China. Does he even know that China's economy is built around agriculture and that there are around 300 million farmers in China? Why didn't he model Anambra around China? How many farms and farmers did he create in Anambra or outside Anambra through strategic partnerships, as done by Lagos and Kebbi? Does he know that, according to RIFAN, the number of rice farmers in Nigeria rose from around 5million to 12.2million in less than 4 years. This is not only authoritative but instructive.

I didn't know Obi was this 'unsmart' until I listened to him during an interview confirming or admitting to saving N50billion of Anambra's money in Fidelity bank, a bank in which he holds substantial stake...I just weak.

You spoke with a man for few minutes and you came about this conclusion. You claim to be from Anambra but you couldnt form an opinion based on the projects and policies he did while in governance. If it took just a chanced meeting for you to assert this then yours is a curious case. For you to believe this fake figures of 12million rice farmers shows your affinity with the propagandists and liars pushing this tales by moonlight out.

Was Soleye part of Major General Buhari's ministerial cabinet?

grin

He was the Minister of finance in 1984 and the dept of Customs was under the MOF. Soleye was actually Atiku's saviour because if the details of Atiku's carelessness/crass ineptitude by allowing a journalist have access to classified information had gotten to the SMC(Supreme Military Council), no way he wouldn't have been tried under decree 4.. So Soleye ensured the issued stopped at the ministerial level.

We've heard worst already yet guess what? Nigerians are nonetheless preferring him to your failure of a president. one of the worst reason for Nigeria's suffering today is the fact that "the supposed man in charge was never, has never, and will apparently never be in charge".

it is already unfortunate for the country that it finds itself at such crossroads of having to choose between An Atiku whos shadiness is known to all and a Buhari who happens to "be in government" but is never "in power" .

*take note of the quotes.

like I said earlier Atiku is known not to be totally clean he himself knows this and has a point to prove to people like you that regardless of what you think of his inclinations himself and his team are a better and efficient choice compared to the old man and his team.

we are not stupid we know Atiku will nevertheless still siphone national funds just like the current government has done covertly over the years

but the country will very much fair better than it can currently say of itself under the old man's watch.

moreso; the fact tha you think Buhari is truly fighting corruption and that he's repairing the Nigerian economy makes you rather naive.

My brother sorry to say, I am not Hausa, dats regarding ur aboki word, if it was intended for its real meaning "my friend " then fine.

Now to suggest I am naive is quite bad of you, you don't have to result to insults to prove a point. Most people who come online to argue or make comments are only just being sentimental and not being factual.

To tell you the truth between BUHARI and atiku, I would pick atiku/obi, when it comes to having the business acumen, but when it comes to managing resources and utilizing effectively what is available and not just throwing it away I wld pick buhari.

The corruption fight of this government is laudable, and it's effects re been felt all around already, though it would take a while before the full effects are felt.

And who says he isn't fighting it, with all the hidden deals coming out and convictions he still isn't fighting it Abi?

It's left for you to make your own choice, at the end whoever wins would rule and do whatever they want. So use ur pvc. Simple.

First up, saying you're naive was never meant to be an insult so, I apologise if you felt insulated in anyway

Secondly there's no sentiment from me whatsoever
I simply base my opinions on whats aground for all to see, did you know that Nigerians suffered and cried during Buharis first regime as a military ruler?

unlike the Apc would want everyone to believe that todays hardship was as a result of Pdp misrule, was the Pdp also responsible for Buhari afflicting Nigerians in his military days?

Like you rightly said an Atiku/Obi team would be more sound economically than the current sham obtainable, this is a fact

but then you mixed up your point by adding that the current sham on ground is better at managing resources; permit me to say its indeed not correct

because you can't be said to have a business acumen and yet be unable to manage your resources.

As for the fight against corruption that you said was "laudable" ?

lolz... abeg make we leave matter for matthias
