As a matter of fact, I don't give a damn whether he commented or not. In fact, it is not a must that he should comment. Is it not better to be silent than writing what he didn't mean and that would have been worst.
However, Buhari is not fit to be the president of this country, my assertion is not because he did comment or not at the burial- far from it. That was how he felt and we should respect and applaud him for that. At least, He is being authentic.
Buhari from his disposition and the way he is ruling, he is supposed to be in his village attending to his cows and possibly his lands while praying to God to forgive him of his wrong doings.
I do not have anything against him, ofcouse I can't have, he is an elder and I should respect him but the way he and his generation have disrupted this nation, including Obasanjo and co, God will destroy them.
The situation they have put this nation, only God will judge them. They did not put this nation on the right tract, many years after they have ruled, they are still ruling. It is not as if they have done something monument for this nation, they have caused poverty among out people, they have divided us along religion line and they are still subverting of existence as a nation. God will judge you.

In Buhari's action I can see honesty and sincerity. You can't honestly have genuine eulogies for someone whose government you truncated due to widespread corruption which was acknowledged by history.

Goodluck's statement is not backed by sincirety because he never really knew Shagari well enough to say some of the things he said. And history clearly shows there was massive corruption during the Shagari era contrary to any accolades of them laying good democratic foundations for the country. If they laid good foundations, we would not be in the category of mess we are today as a country.

It is good not to speak ill of the dead. But it is better to keep shut than lying.
