On the 30th November 2018 ESMDC organized an inter-school debate competition among anglophone schools in Benin Republic.
The motions deliberated were:
Semi-quarter
This House would allow the United States of America to bring down the Assad regime in Syria.
Quarter Finals
This House believes that Nigeria has made a brave decision by seeking trade relation with China.
Finals
Should this house legalize Abortion of fetus ( baby in the womb ) for safety reasons. The impartial panel of judges followed the World Universities Debate Championship (WUDC) constitution.

Two students represent each school for the debate competition While a student represents for the public speaking competition. Each speaker has seven (7) minutes to deliberate on each motion.
Point Of Information ( POI) Accepted.
Persuasiveness, logical and factual arguments amount to a winner.
Esep le Berger the overall winner of the inter-school debate competition among anglophone schools in Benin Republic, Ecole Superieure De management ( ESM ) The first runner-up of the inter-school debate competition among anglophone schools in Benin Republic Ecole de techniciens superiors ( ECOTES ) the second runner-up of the inter-school debate competition among anglophone schools in Benin Republic.
ESMDC honored individuals who had worked hard for the success of the team throughout the year by giving out awards to them that merited it.
