It was euphoria on 30th December, 2018 as the people's mandate and APC Standard Bearer for Ikono/Ini Federal Constituency, Barr. Edidiong Idiong stormed Ediene Itak Ward 9 to attend the consultative meeting organized by Comrade Akamobong jnr.

First, he kicked off the Ediene Itak All Stars Football Competition. Edidiong Idiong urged both teams to play safe, describing football as a friendly game. He donated handsomely to support the tournament.


The height of it was the chanting of "Edidiong Idiong is the right man for Ikono/Ini Federal House of Reps" by the teeming youth of Osuk Ediene Ward 9, Unit 3 as Akamobong Henry consulted his people for APC, collapsed the entire structure of the unit 3 for APC and donate wrappers to the women of the area.


Present at the Consultative Meeting were the leader of Ediene Itak Engr. Sylvanus Nyauko, Ward Chairman of APC Ward 9, Comrade Embassy Akpan Essien, Edidiong Nyong, Elder Akamobong Henry, Rose Ekpenyong, Monday Jerry, Obong ifak Samuel Udo, Women leader of the Unit Mrs. Mary Effiong Ubong, Youth Leader of the Unit and host of Elderly Men, Women and the Youths of the area.

Comrade Akamobong Jnr. who welcomed all and sundry emphatically stressed that Ediene ward 9 unit 3 has come to embrace APC, stating that he is the master strategists and he and his teammate will deliver and defend the mandate for Edidiong Idiong, describing Edidiong Idiong as a good man, a lawyer who wouldn't learn how to make laws in the Green Chambers of NASS, but will flourish and bring back dividends to Ikono/Ini Fed. Constituency, because he is a practitioner Lawyer, who knows what lawmaking is all about, he donated sets of wrappers to the women of his unit.


The Chapter Youth Leader of APC, Comrade Blessed Akpan placed a request for the grading of the Nkara Obio Road and urged the people of the area to go get their PVC and be ready to vote APC come Feb. 16 and March 2.

Comrd. Otuekong Unwana-Abasi who defected to the APC burying his ambition of becoming the member representing Ikono State House of Assembly in the platform of Coalition For Change (C4C) supplicated the people's mandate to facilitate the construction of Nkara Obio Road, stating that the road links 14 villages and passes through the resident of late Obong Inyangette.


The people's mandate Barr. Edidiong Idiong who expressed how elated he was, acknowledged the contribution of the women to his emergence as the APC Standard Bearer, extolling the women and describing them as his main supporting base and the true voters, he promised to empower the women and as well include them in all of his schedules.


Responding to the supplication for the grading/construction of Nkara Obio road, he said he will be proud to facilitate the construction of the road, stressing that the road will redress the contribution of the late Inyangette for the creation of Akwa Ibom State. He acknowledged that the construction of the road will take time a long time, hence, he will consult with the Elders of Ediene Itak to know the road that needs urgent attention for grading. He promised to introduce the Free Medical Outreach in Ediene Itak
