Dear President Muhammadu Buhari,

RE: EDUCATION IN NIGERIA.

Sir, I write to you with specific recommendations that have important implication to the Nigerian people, namely inadequate financing, deteriorated infrastructures, brain-drain and university autonomy.

Sir, as this present time of your administration and on the mandate that your were been elected into office, I don't dream of experiencing the issue of industrial action in our Tertiary institutions most importantly the federal established. The lack of giving deep sense of responsibility to the education sector has caused us a great loss which cannot be denied.

Respected sir, access to education as been made so rigorous that the system is very faulty considering the mode of admission and outdated syllabus which is paramount to the system but, Sir, if the engagement in ASUU strike continue with the way it's going, it might be the greatest political miscalculation for your office and the outcome of the forthcoming general election.

Sir, why has the Memorandum of Action(MoA) signed by the FG and ASUU not yet implemented? ASUU are on the right track, we support them because they are after the next generation and not the winner of the next election.

Dear Baba, the university staffs across the federation are not happy with the issue at hand, government should stop playing and cunning the brain of Nigerians. It's not "right to education" but "right to quality education". Sir, our future belong to us.

Sir, if the registration fee for a Federal University should be hiked to #350,000, Sir, how much will be obtainable in state universities? #1,000,000 and above, I opined. Esteemed sir, how much is the minimum wage if the public universities fee should be on the higher rates like this? Unequivocally, the children of the masses will be show the exit door for being educated.

Baba sir, if Polaris bank can be funded with such amount of money to continue operation in the country and saved from the extinction of Skye bank, Sir, why not ASUU? Why must all higher institutions students studying in public varsities experience strike once in their lifetime? Then, why will Nigeria universities be rated amongst the best 500 in the world despite the efficient capacities saddled with the responsibilities?

Sir, until government do the needful, things will get to worse and the clamoured change will be visibly unachievable.

RECOMMENDATIONS:

1. Government should grant all the request of ASUU as agreed in the MoA 2017 in no time.

2. Public universities should have means of generating money internally which will not hinder the parents/Guidance and students who are vulnerable.

3. Education Trust Fund(E.T.F) and TETFund should not be scrapped else more of their likes should be establish.

Sir, have a pleasant day in office! Deep regards!

God bless the federal republic of Nigeria!
