President Muhammadu Buhari has lashed out on the opposition over their reaction to the appointment of Mrs Amina Zakari by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as its Head of Collation Centre for the 2019 elections.
Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, made the President’s reaction known in a statement on Friday.
He said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has continued their baseless accusations regarding Zakari, accusing her of partiality and casting doubts about her integrity as an electoral commissioner.
Shehu said: “In their desperation, they forget that it was the PDP government that appointed her in the first place and they keep lying, as they have been caught doing ..........
