Academic calendar is about 16 weeks. 13 weeks lecture, 1 week revision and 3 weeks exam. If you loose two weeks you might suffer especially if you have a strict lecturer.

Why keep students at home, when you know that every time you go on strike it's always futile and you have to just reschedule another date for it?
